part of first shoot after surgery. They wanted their photo taken so used the silver PLM at six feet aimed directly at them. I shot between them and Plm. Funny my best focused shots were with 105 ai-s. go figure. Converted to BW in Tonality.

Lasik, an acronym for Laser Assisted in Situ Keratomeleusis, is a form of refractive laser eye surgery procedure performed by ophtalmologists intended for correcting Myopia, Hyperopia and Astigmatism. The procedure is usually a preferred alternative to photorefractive keratectomy, PRK, as it requires less time for full recovery and the patient experiences less pain overall.
This is a cardiopulmonary bypass pump used for coronary heart surgery, valve replacement and aneurysm repair at Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, teaching hospital of the School of Medicine at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
The heart is packed with ice and cardioplegic solution, which makes it stop beating. The pump supplies the body with oxygenated blood. The woman with arms crossed is a perfusion technician, who keeps a close eye on everything, under guidance from the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
This image is from a combined ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm repair with concomitant aortic valve replacement.
Dave and Lisa prepare and sanitize the area. That's Powell with the surgery lamp and Mike standing by waiting to faint.
Zeus was about half way through his blood transfusion when it was time to begin the surgery to remove his spleen. Joanna went in on her day off to work his surgery and provide support for Zeus.

First look at my busted knee after surgery. The orange is surgical antiseptic wash. The bag is full of ice.
I somehow tore the meniscus (the disc of cartilate separating your legs bones, inside the knee) in December 2009. I was limping and sore for two months before a CAT scan revealed the tear. I had surgery in mid-March 2010. I spent three weeks recuperating slowly.
Apr 01, 2007; Portland, Oregon, USA; Oregon Zoo lead veterinarian Dr. Mitch Finnegan (in white shirt) and veterinarian dentist Ron Tribble (in green shirt) perform surgery to remove an infected tusk from Tusko the Asian elephant at the Oregon Zoo. The 6.75-ton, 35-year-old bull elephant had surgery in February to try to remove the chronically infected, broken left tusk, but doctors were unable to remove a chunk of compacted, hard dentin tissue in the deep part of the tusk cavity. Doctors plan to remove the last few inches of the tusk by drilling more deeply during this surgery. Tusko, a former circus elephant, was trained to lie on the 12-by-16-foot, 2,000-gallon waterbed for the surgery.

Surgery went fine. Devon is well. We were all tired but in good spirits.
Most of my pictures are crappy. I guess I wasnt into it. I didnt even try for an artistic shot.
The room where Bane is getting the Venom implants put into his nervous system.
See more on other pics!
This room is probably the most important, because it showcases Bane, and the procedure that gave him his super strength!
This is for my second entry to Brickmasters101's superhero base contest.

so guess what i did today...
TOE OPERATION! it wasn't too bad. it took about a half hour or so. i think the worst part was when the doctor had numb my toe. that was actually really painful.
it's still numb, and i'm not anticipating getting the feeling back. ah!
On May 12, 2006 I had surgery to remove my sigmoid colon (about one foot) due to recurrent acute diverticulitis that would not heal. I had been hospitalized three times between early January and mid-March of 2006 for the infection, and surgery was finally deemed the best cure. This photo is about 48 hours after surgery, and you can see my stomach is still swollen with the gas they used to inflate me for the laparoscopic surgery--a rather new procedure for this type of problem. The big cut on my bellybutton was used to remove the piece of colon, and the incision on the lower right (my left) was used to perform most of the work. The two smallest incisions, on the left (my right), where used for lights and tools. Pretty cool, although I was pretty miserable. The good thing is that the procedure worked as planned.
the tendons were retracted after the incident with a meat knife... the second surgery gave me another scar inside the hand...

The reason for my lack of photo taking. A broken ankle on January 22 and ankle surgery on February 2.

Today I made the brave decision to have some laser eye surgery! I'm not getting on with my glasses at all, so have decided to have it done. I'm very nervous, I hate anything to do with my eyes, and of course it's going to cost a packet! In an effort to distract myself from the forthcoming procedure! I've come up with this picture of my operation LOL!!
Third look at my busted knee after surgery. All healed!
