Belle has been completely deboxed. She is standing, supported by the included display stand. She can free stand, but is not very stable that way.

Here is a mini review of Belle, concentrating on the features that can only be seen when she is deboxed.

First is her amazing golden heels. They are decorated with a molded ribbon in front, and silver and yellow decorations all around the shoe. They are in the same class as the best Disney Store LE doll shoes, such those of Tiana and Harrods Elsa.

Slightly disappointing is the lack of edition number and size stamps on her back. More disappointing is that her legs were slightly warped, so her feet and shoes couldn't point in the same direction. This is common on the 2012 style Classic doll and Designer doll legs, but I don't think it's happened to my 17 inch LE dolls before.

I like the look of the plastic floral decoration at her gown's neckline a lot more than I thought I would from the previous photos I saw. But I still would have liked them to be made of cloth or embroidery. A side effect of them being plastic is that her long side curls would be caught in it when I handled the doll.

With brings me to her side curls. They look good on LE Winter Belle, but on Ballgown Belle they are more distracting, especially from certain angles. So for the later half of the photos of Belle, I moved the curls to behind her head as much as I could, which was how they were in the box pose.

One final item is that her left hand, which the Beast is holding in the box pose, is permanently bent in the middle to make it fit better in Beast's hand.

Detailed photos of my Belle and Beast Limited Edition 17 Inch Doll Set. I got it second hand, after my Disney Store order was cancelled. It looks in perfect condition, and is #107 of 500. There are two Certificates of Authenticity, one for each doll, with the same number.

The box is very similar in construction to the Jasmine and Aladdin Platinum Wedding Doll Set. I love the poses of the dolls in the box, but I will debox them anyway, as is my custom. I need to know how they look freed from the factory restraints, from all angles.

Taken at the OKC Pride Parade of 2019

File: 2020001-0018

Somewhere in Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Thursday 7th May 2020, at 8pm.

Published with the parent’s permissions.

Notice: Geotags are removed, and the exact location will not be mentioned, for privacy and safety.

About this photograph.

During the Clap for Our Carers gesture on Thursday evening, those two girls and their family stepped outside, but instead of clapping, they showed their support for the NHS (National Health Service) with a live music performance.

As you can see in the photos, one of the girls is seen playing the violin while the other girl does the singing.

I have no idea what they were singing about, nor do I know what music they played. It looked like a slow singing, maybe classic music.

In the tighter framed photos, the man in the T-shirt with sunglasses, and leaning against a car is their father. In the wider shots, the woman on the other side of the road, seen taking photos, is their mother.

You may notice a few other people stepping out of their homes, to take part in the clapping as show of support, watching the live performance.

The viewpoint was from one of my bedroom windows, as I took the photos of what was going on. I later went to their house, to seek permissions from the parents if I wanted to publish the photos, and they agreed.

Why I took the photographs?

Starting in February of 2020, my oldest child moved out to live independent, while the other child lived with the mother, I was finally free to try to restart my photography career, and if needed by going freelance. But only about a month later, in March, the United Kingdom went into a national lockdown in order to combat against the rising cases of the coronavirus, which put my plans on hold.

It was at that time I decided to try to get serious with Flickr, having registered in 2015, but been inactive for almost 5 years until I restarted using it in 2020. I was trying to find photos to upload and all that.

On that day, a Thursday at 8pm, it was time for the usual every Thursday event, to step outside and clap in show of our support for our NHS. I find it much easier to go upstairs, open the window at the front of the house, lean out and clap. From this position I can see other people clapping.

This was when I saw the family stepping outside, and setting up their small performance. That was when I went to grab my Nikon, and started trying to take photojournalism style photos as my skills are rather somewhat rusty and I could do with some new practise.

After taking the photos, I had to go over to their home, and informed their parents that I do photography, and wanted to check with them if I could have permissions to post my photos on my various profiles (not just Flickr, but also other accounts like with Adobe, etc.) The father agreed to give me permissions. I also gave them as many copies of the photos too.

About the subject.

The Clap for Our Carers event was a social movement carried out every Thursdays between March to May in 2020, in the United Kingdom as a gesture of appreciation and show of support for Britain’s National Health Service (NHS).

The idea came from Europe, likely to be either Italy and/or Spain which had lockdowns before the UK did.

On Thursdays, people would either step outside their front doors, or lean outside their windows, and give a round of applause. But some people have been taken to banging pots and pans, or playing music.

The event was meant to show our support for doctors and nurses, along with other hospital staff, but later included our show for other key workers, health services, ambulance crews, delivery drivers, waste collectors, and any other key workers who have to work during the lockdown.

In the fight against the coronavirus known as Covid-19.

This is a new design for Grizzly Mountain Arts! Dave has crafted the beautiful 1 7/8 inch acorn whorl of this support spindle from poplar. Pyrography, burn etching, was used to create the details on the acorn's cap. The 11 1/2 inch long shaft was created from walnut and the weight of this spindle in 51 grams (1.8 ounces).

The grueling schedule of a pro tournament player and the repetitive motions in the sport result in some taping assistance to keep one's body all together.

We were stuck inside Nigg Energy Park in Scotland for a few days while I was at work on the ship. Luckily I managed to go for a couple of walks with the camera in hand, which only did me good. I sort of like this one. Done with one of the Nikon FM2 cameras on Ilford PAN400.

Again, another BF4 fig. Expect more in the future. Hope you like it!

Supporting All Saints.Shot for Gig Junkies.

Here are some of our youth multipliers and scholarship holders who make up the AfroBreak dance group at Hummingbird. They are a pretty energetic group of youngsters who are more than dedicated to what they practice, which is mainly Break dancing.

With Beija-Flor na Comunidade (Hummingbird in the Community), it means we are taking Hummingbird to the community instead of the community coming to us. In other words, Hummingbird is spreading its wings!

The programme is part of a new strategy being developed by our youth mentors to get a preliminary feel in connection with their objectives to implant small Hummingbird nuclei in the more distant parts of our community, thus bringing our activities to the poorest kids who have no means of reaching our main centre.

The first community to be receiving some of Hummingbird’s vibrant activities is the Sitio Joaninha, which is a rough hilly area about 6 kilometres away from us, where many of the families who used to work on the rubbish tip live. The tip was closed down a few years ago and the area covered with topsoil so as to recuperate some of the natural vegetation.

Most of the shanty homes were constructed during the active years of the tip, when entire families found their livelihoods under the most unhealthy and hazardous working conditions. Since its closure there has been very few alternatives in the way of work and habitation, so very few have been able to move to better conditions. To the contrary; the area has rapidly grown to accommodate even more poverty-stricken families who have no other alternative than to grab a small plot of land and try to survive on what little is available in terms of public amenities in such places.

The majority of homes have no running water and depend on the council delivering drinking water by truck each day. Electricity is acquired through a series of illegal connections, which people have hooked-up to the main electricity network through a maze of literally thousands of metres of wiring crossing the landscape in all directions in order to bring power to one’s home.

This is quite common during the rapid growth of favela (shanty) areas and pressures from the inhabitants will eventually cause most councils to come up with a more satisfactory and less risky solution.

Many of the children who live here have a long way to walk to reach school, as there is no public transport. The tendency is therefore not to go, especially during the rainy or colder seasons. Very few have the willpower or even the means of getting to Hummingbird to participate in all the good things we have to offer in our Street Migration Prevention Programme, although there are some who do.

This is the main reason for us to bring Hummingbird to the kids. If we can manage to finance a more permanent solution we will be able to continue with a variety of activities throughout the entire year and not just during the school holiday season, which is our proposal in this phase of the project.
