The sun sets early in the last days of November. Passing the railyway station in Hütteldorf around 4pm, the sky has already filled with colors.

Not quite SOOC for the purists among you, but the compact camera seems to lend quite a lot more light when necssary, just a saturation tweak, colour variations for the sky and lightened the foreground a bit. Wish I had put my Nikon rucksack in the car, but am quite pleased with this result from a compact.

Sometimes, just by looking at the sunset I can feel how small I am, nevertheless it's encouraging!

With a little moon tossed in. Looking out the window, it appeared that it was going to be an interesting sky. Debated making the 15 minute ride to the only area that I've found for sunset (so far) and in the end, decided to go feed the mosquitoes. More often than not, the sun simply disappears and there isn't much to show for it. Tonight was a little better.

After the heavy fog from last night and this morning, the sun came out and this was the colour of the red sunset tonight. Our weather goes from one extreme to the next.

Last night's sunset was sweet as we snugged ourselves into a precarious perch to get this shot. The bridge going over this creek (which feeds into Drayton Harbor in Blaine Washington) had no sidewalk and it was narrow. The cars were whizzing past us. The 2 foot railing had a cement bulkhead along it with about 12 inches between the two. So in we squeezed and hunkered down for the remaining light of the day. Tom really got some sweet shots but he needs to get his own flickr account to show them off.

Sunset colours are reflected on the wet sands of the beach at the Rooisand (Botriver) Nature Reserve near Fisherhaven. I remember shivering from the cold awaiting the sunset, but well worth it!

Non ci credereste mai, ma questa foto è stata scattata da un balcone a Milano una sera dello scorso dicembre. I colori del cielo erano ben saturi, spezzati dal bianco delle nuvole, e, nel primo piano, gli alberi privi di foglie che ben si prestavano a tale spettacolo della natura. Anche in una città spesso citata per i suoi alti livelli di urbanizzazione ed inquinamento.

You won't believe it, but this picture was taken last december in Milan. The colors of the sky were so saturated, broken by the white of the clouds, and, on the foreground, the leafless trees that well suited this awesome view of nature. Even in a city mostly famous for its high level of urbanization and pollution.
