Our next door neighbours see the funny side after Tom's text-book gag with the sunblock

Norah's favorite part of going to the beach is when her mother lathers her up with sunblock.

...and I've never seen a wi-fi hotspot in a ski lodge before! Shocking that it's Loveland, an old-time ski area that has resisted resort-like progress quite nicely. I'm impressed!

Hello internet, i spent a good five hours at the beach today! the other hours i was at home.

It was a nice sunny (cloud less) day, so we went to the beach! I didn't go into the water all that much, but it was still fun. My niece got a bad sunburn on her back because she forgot to put sunblock on. I thought I was fine because I did put sunblock on but after an hour or two when I got home, my legs started to burn and I looked and SURPRISE, sunburn. So yeah. it's perfect.

OH my brother is in two with his new girlfriend :3 she's pretty and i like her. it's also nice to see my brother too.

we played some mario kart 8 and a card game called "cards against humanity" it's so wrong and oh my god by the time it's over with my cheeks are as red as roses because i was blushing so hard.

Also, tomorrow is day 200 of this 365. let's hope i get a pretty good picture instead of a crappy one :3

(another thing; people in the picture are layla and a friend with her little cousins)

I think he's a visitor to this island, fishing and avoiding sunlight, i guess he forgot his sunblock :)

Bidadari Island is in Thousand Islands, only 20 minutes by medium speedboat from Jakarta. An island with resort and other facilities like cottage, cloating cottage, swimming pool, banana boat, bycicle, live music during dinner, etc. This is perfect place to take 1 or 2 days of vacation, to run away from Busy Days of Jakarta. Perfect place to take a pre-wedding photography, and also quite good place for others photography. I was lucky enough to spend my first day on this island with interesting clouds all around the island.

Spots for Photography :

- Sunrise and Sunset (if you're lucky enough)

- Beach

- Speedboat and Boat Pier

- Martello Fort

- Islands around such as Kelor Island, Onrust Island, CIpir Kayangan Island, etc

- just be creative ;)

How do i get here?

Take a speedoat from Marina Port, Ancol, Jakarta. See the link below. Or you can go by local boat from Muara Kamal and Muara Angke. (i prefer to go from Marina , though)

Place to stay?

A lot of Cottage here! It's better for you to do some reservation first, just go to the website i link below.

Place to eat?

don't worry!

Transportation in Bidadari Island?

You can do it by foot! it's a small island afterall. And you can rent a boat to go to near islands.

How do i get back to Jakarta?

By speedboat.

have a nice travelling :)

that's me in the shade with sunblock 45 and a floppy hat on. i think i still tanned.

and a little moisturizer might help too.

An added benefit to having a one inch thick coating of sunblock all over your face is that the entire beachful of sand has someplace to stick.

Like my "farmer" tan? So I put sunblock on every part of my body -except.... my neck. Nice.

Finally... Disney is done! Sad, yet oh so thankful.

Artist: Daniel Balter

Medium: Soft (chalk) pastel on Canson's , Mi-Teintes, pastel paper: Earth colors.

Size: 9" x 12" (22,9 x 30,5 cm)

Date: 07-22-2011

Details: I got a sunburn on my face, hands, and feet while doing this pastel painting. Maybe the risk of sunburn is the reason why so many plein-air painters recommend not only taking insect repellent but sunblock and a big hat. I read that Vincent van Gogh when he was painting in Arles went without a hat and was baked out there in the sun and wind. That poor fair-skinned Dutchman!

We left Baltimore with sub freezing temperatures. The last thing we thought about was buying sunblock for Peru. After walking around all day in Barranco and Miraflores when I returned to the hotel I realized I had a problem. SUNBURN! I had forgotten how close the equator we would be! Needless to say buying sunblock was at the top of out list the next morning.

I went to Elianto for buying some stuffs for me ;) I love makeup and those stuffs for girls! ;) Who doesn't love makeup?

I usually wear this ;

1) A sunblock when I go to school, everyday (But I still have a bad skin, you know, sunburn) Pfft.

2) A lip balm for me. I think my lips is so dry so I have to wear it. Oh I use honey too, once a week! ;)

That's all I guess. I don't wear too much makeup when I go to school, because probably my skin's going to be oily o.O

I wear this when I go hangout ;

1) Foundation from Maybelline

2) Mineral healthy Powder from Maybelline

3) Waterproof liquid eyeliner from Maybelline

4) Lipgloss for my dry lips from Nivea

That's all. Simple. Truly, I do believe everygirl is pretty and so are you! ;)

P/s : Sometimes I'm not wearing any makeup for my face. I don't care with makeup 24 hours, it's just a hobby when I'm bored. So yeah.

Have a nice day! <3

curse my boring pal Chris, he just never hams for the camera...

Don't forget your sunblock!

This is one pale group of girls....I hope they put on sunblock

She is my friend's niece. I met her at the picnic on last Saturday.

I'm on a mission to combat premature photoaging. And cancer. And my crazy freckles. And I just got the unintentional joke in this picture...do you?

During my AMIGOS retreat, bored during a talk, perfect time to shoot. someone brought along sunblock to protect from the sun.

Summer has descended on Edinburgh!

I never thought i would even dare to try my flip flops in Edinburgh...

...and sunblock on my face!

Close-up together :) Cuties!! I love GB's sunblock -- it's 500 SPF, LOL!

sunburn on Jamies back, I put the sunblock on to make a 23 brick pyramid, KLF style.

sunblock in bottles, shells and starfish on sand

Since this was a five day trip, we were exposed to a lot of sun. We slathered up with sunblock each morning, but I was still quite worried about the girls' total sun exposure. One of the vendors, however, was selling these nifty hats. I've mentioned before that I love these hats, and they were five dollars each. I bought one for each girl, and made them wear them whenever they went out in the sun.

Also note the cool garb that Ivy is wearing, hand-made by her grandmother Sallie.

(Observation: I usually avoid pictures where you can't see the subjects' faces, but I notice this is the third photo in a row where faces aren't really visible.)

The night of the wedding, a dinner was held in Long Beach. More great Indian food, speeches, slide shows, singing -- a great time! As you can see, one of us forgot to wear sunblock at the ceremony.
