The sun rises over the beach at Galveston, Texas.

After shooting westbound Rio Grande train 197 in cloudy light at Cotopaxi, Colorado, we chased it to the vicinity of Salida, where we encountered two eastbound trains, including train 788, which we shot upon our return to Cotopaxi. The caboose of train 788 did yield a chance to get a sunny shot from my vantage point.

The province of Quebec had 100 new wild fires started by lightning, the Ontario skies were filled with smoke so the sun was being filtered like this! More smoke approaching every day looks like a haze during the day at times!! The dry summers are not even here yet - Climate change is definitely the sad reality.

We had amazing sunshine and light today and yesterday after a long period of gray, rainy and far too warm days. I just had to get out in the evenings to collect "sun bokehs" with my cam like berries in summer - yum. :)
