this photo was taken at around 6AM in the wakra beach... don't know how the sun got this big as early as 6 in the morning... but i like the way i captured this one.. :D

Here's a shot from the vista point on the way into Ancient Bristlecone Forest.

I sat here watching the light pass through the clouds in various intensities and direction, enthralled I captured several frames and noticed my gray jacket looked pink, I turn around and almost fell over at what I was beholding. You can see the shot from the other direction below.

Sun Peaks ski resort

Kamloops, B.C.

It was about -16 C when I took this shot but it didn't seem to daunt the skiers. There was no wind and the sun was shining. This was the quiet end of the slopes but the main chair lift had a fairly long line-up.

uniqueness of sun and sky....

Ok... Douglas Herbert and I were meant to be studying today.

But then Golden Hour arrived and we just had to grab our cameras and head out.

My memeroy card is now quite full and I've probably enough photos to upload for a month...oops!

Hope you like it! [Please view this one large! "L"]

Sun going down into the Pacific Ocean, seen from the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula, Washington. Near Kalaloch, I think. Good viewed in large size; there are some nice patterns in the water.

The sun rises over the San Francisco Bay Bridge, San Francisco, California.

Very bright sun dogs on January 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is caused by the refraction of sunlight by ice crystals freezing in the atmosphere. It was an extremely cold - 35°c morning...hot coco afterwards. Also, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Flicker Friends :-)

Sun, sometimes you like it sometimes you hate it...

All depends on you timing, location, situation and your mood.

You can't change the Sun and the situation.....

But you can change yourself and your location to makes you feel better!

So, instead of blaming others, why not "CHANGE" and make yourself comfortable. ;)

The sun on 16-10-2017, which took on a red hue over the UK. The phenomenon was caused by winds from hurricane Ophelia pulling up dust from the Sahara.

The dust was then reflected and refracted in longer wavelengths, to give the sun a red appearance. Image taken from Weston Turville reservoir.

Caught this halo just as my husband was letting out his racing pigeons today.

every year we have this phenomenon, of African dust, that the sun does not seem at all. This phenomenon has been greatly excited this year.

The sun bird is an adaptive creature, capable of surviving in almost any condition, including the more cloudy and tough conditions of our planet.

Saw this Sun Dog (also called a Parhelion) while I was out today. A Sun Dog is an optical atmospheric phenomenon consisting of a bright spot to the left or right of the sun. I'd never see one as good as this before and have certainly never photographed one until today.
