The 7 summits are the highest mountains of each of the seven continents. We experimented with photo collage to create an infographic that is both a graph and a picture at the same time.

There's really not much left from those trips up there. I've posted all the good photos.

On August 11th 2014 I successfully reached the summit of Mount Rinjani shortly before sunrise. This image was taken just after sunrise at 3726m above sea level, an astonishing view indeed and fully worth the 3 day/2 night trek!

Enjoy! :)

Canna had a great time playing with Summit last week. She was a bit wary of him at first, but by the end of the walk, she was completely in control!

Running down Summit Ave, hair on its nape standing on end, dodging in and out of groups of pedestrians, through fences, passing other dogs...this one was hell bent for the Mississippi Gorge at the foot of the street, eventually disappearing into the bluff forest there. Had my camera ready as I waited for the traffic light, but when he passed he was still a blur.

Lots of legends in this part of town about urban coyotes and hybrids such as the infamous coyote-wolf-dog. But back in the real world, I do often see coyotes ambling down residential streets here early in the morning returning to their dens after an all-night food run. Just don't usually see them in the middle of the day with so many people and cars out and about.

Top of Mt Shirouma/Hakuba, 2932m in elevation, so says the signpost. Compared to Mt Hotakas, the trekpath, per say, is not at all as dangerous. Yet, some huge perpendicular cliffs you see on your left while summit-ing are just as mind-boggling. Takes longer than you think to reach if you start from the Tsugaike side, as opposed to the Happo-one one. Yes, gasses pretty much barred your sight today, darn. In hindsight, Mt Shirouma/Hakuba (though located in Nagano Pref) is the place where both winds meet up: one from the Kurobe/Tateyama/Toyama side, or the Japan Sea side, that is; the other from that of Matsumoto Plain/Nagano Pref. So, long story short, you also need to check the weather of the sea side, Kurobe/Tateyama when you do Mt Shirouma/Hakuba.
