an early morning ascent of "The Pinnacles" to wait for sunrise, the clouds were already gathered in wait as well ! The bright light isn't actually the sun- which was behind thick cloud, rather it is the reflection on the sea immediately below
The summit terrain of the low eastern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains harbors a unique ecology of grass and ferns, with well-dispersed hickories and oaks. Spaces to me of an epic charm.
I appreciate your comments! I will reply in visits to your photo streams.
Summit of the Gurnigelpass (1600 meters above sea) on a clear night. The environment is completely lit by the fullmoon. It's a so called 'supermoon', when the distance the the earth is the shortest possible, which makes him (apparently) shine up to 30% brighter.
The peaks in the background (from left) are: Nünenen, Gantrisch, Bürglen and Ochsen.
From the laguna Chulluncani, we contemplate an impressive volcanic summit in front of us, the Cerro Caquella (5857 m - 17848 ft).

It was a dream time to admire some summits of the Vosges. It was mild, much more than at the bottom of the valleys where someone from Munster where I stopped on my way back told me that it had been cold and gray all week.
It is not very high, the Hohneck on the right rises for example to 1363 m (4471ft) , but this landscape has plenty of charm with these snow-capped summits and these valleys covered in places with fog banks.

Those who are not birds, should not sit on the edge of abysses!
A few more meters to the summit. On the left is the Gailtal / Ziljska dolina.
We're on the the upper slopes now and getting closer to Glas Maol, just the steep slope to the left to go. From there we traverse the ridge to reach the summit of Creag Leacach.
Glas Maol (meaning the grey green hill) is my 18th Munro and stands at a height of 1068 meters (3504 feet). Creag Leacach (meaning 'the slabby crag') is my 19th and stands at 987 meters (3238 feet).
A pun on 'something abstract', weathered paint and plaster on a wall in South London resembles a mountain peak. I also thought of calling this 'Peaky Blinder'.
Being at the right place at the right time is always a pleasure.

An easy hike with big payoffs for views, toughest part was the six miles of forest service road, it's one for the ages. I don't know if you will ever see the pics of the spectacular view from 5800 feet as the haze was so bad, but Bear Head Peak and Mount Rainier are just to my right and 1300 feet down is Cosplay Lake and my truck. I think in a couple weeks it's going to get a lot of orange yellow and red up here, time sure is flying.

When I was reviewing my images on the back of the camera on the evening of our first day in The Lakes, I could have sworn I saw an image where I'd captured two people on the summit of Catstye Cam. However, I had trouble finding it when the images were imported into Lightroom. Pleased to say I finally found the image this morning.
I've uploaded the image in high res so you can click and zoom.

• Above the clouds the world grows light,
a quiet hush, a softer sight.
The heart lifts up where breezes roam,
and finds in sky a second home.
Joy blooms there in gentle blue
a whispered promise, wide and true
that all the weight we hold below
can melt in sun-washed fields of snow.
Denali has two significant summits: the South Summit is the higher one at 20,310 feet (6,190 m), while the North Summit has an elevation of 19,470 ft (5,934 m). They are both in view here.
The South Summit is the climbing target. The North Summit doesn't draw as many climbers.
A shot or two more of Denali then moving on.
Thanks for taking a look!
