Assembled from 9 subframes, each of which composed of ~2000 stacked frames, this lunar mosaic presents my first attempt at mosaic processing and occupies a significant portion of my hard drive. Large surface details such as Mare Nectaris are visible with shadow contrast provided by the lunar terminator.

Now that the modified subframe and cross bracing are all welded together, I can take the whole frame out as a single unit and clean up all the welds. I think I might do some kind of perimeter frame extending under the boot floor and tie it into the cross bracing.

July 1964 Budd Company press photo of subframe assembly and floorpan of new 1965 model NYCT R32A passenger unit on assembly line at the Red Lion Road assembly plant in Northeast Philadelphia.

The R32 fleet consisted of 600 60' stainless cars in two contracts: R32A (3350-3649, purchased by the City of New York) and R32 (3650-3949, purchased by the New York City Transit Authority through a 1963 agency bond issue). The fleet was delivered between August 1964 and September 1965 (except the last four cars 3946-3949 with Pioneer III trucks in December 1965).

BMW Subframe for sidecar

Subframing and the dutch angle on this one. My dog barks a lot, but it's rare for me to catch her mid-bark, especially on film.

New Subframe welds ground down

Front subframe blasted and re-positioned for engine mount welding.
