The Pentax 6X7 Remote Battery Cord. It has a 1.25M cord and a remote battery compartment enabling you to pocket the battery in sub-zero temperatures. It only fits the first versions 6X7 (not the 67II).

It also enables removing the battery, when you are taking long exposures at night and the camera is mounted on a tripod (remove the battery while exposing, after the triggering of the shutter and then return it to close the curtains again) to save battery power otherwise drained during the exposure.

A Subzero 611 refrigerator and GE microwave, with lots of built in cabinets for storage. Next to the subz is a large pantry. Floor tiles (used everywhere except for the bathroom) are Ann Sacks.

Stormer's first weapon. Very light and easy to aim, the Subzero blaster is the weapon Stormer takes on missions the most.

January 8th, 2015

While we return to our homes tonight through a snow storm bringing wind chills below 20 degrees, I find myself reminiscing about tropical sunsets through an abstract reflection obtained in another world.

....To the degree that your passions are out of control.

Subzero @ Black N Blue Bowl (Superbowl Of Hardcore) - June '09 - Studio B, Brooklyn

In trekking out in subzero wind chills for the sake of my 2015 installment of the 365 project, I found myself lacking much inspiration in the quickly dimming light. While the walk around the capital square is part of my usual route, normally the hustle and bustle of Madison takes a break and relaxes on Sundays. Today was quite different, as Madison was hosting it's annual Winter Festival; where they truck in loads of snow and pack it down on the square to create a winter wonderland. Of course, come Sunday night the workers who placed the snow must return the square to it's normal conditions (as snow pack isn't favorable for most cars).

Walking towards me was a gentleman who looked like he had a long day, and in fact I joked with him as he passed "you look like an undertaker." He chuckled and exclaimed "I'm so ready to be done with this, I'm digging my own grave!" Great sense of humor for such a tedious job, at the point I asked if I could take his picture. He asked me for what it was and just as quickly as I was about to answer, he said "sure, why not." Click, click and then he was off back to work. No names, just a fun exchange with a stranger for not only the 365 but also now included as a member of my (608)strangers

Get out and explore your city, you never know who you might find to include in the 100 strangers project. Sometimes more strange then others, but that is what makes it most fun!

Second Life holiday parties was an incredible mix of trance, dnb, electronica, dark psy, goa, minimal, proggy, acid, experimental, industrial, noize, tribal, jazz, live music, country, blues, reggae, salsa, classical, opera, and Christmas music. I heard it all and then some.

I love music of all kinds. If it's good, it's worth listening to, so don't start with the nose-up-in-the-air over your favorite genre. Believe me... good music will always find an audience. An audience of sophisticated listeners will stop to listen to any good sound... even if it isn't part of your normal repertoire.

What is amazing is that dj's and musicians around the world know this, and they borrow from all genres to create their own personal sounds.

Here in Second Life, we get the results from around the world. World music mixes with the trendy sounds of the day, and we get the sounds that we love so much.

I want to thank all the dj's, musicians, club owners and event makers in SL. You guys made a holiday scene like no other. APPLAUSE & BRAVO ::::

Special thanks to you <3:

2009... here we goooooo!

One of the many people in costume at the 2014 Fan Expo in Toronto, Ontario.

marmalade hoverfly

(Episyrphus balteatus)

I found this male E. balteatus in a rotting tree in the Leechwald in Graz. I was quite surprised to find a male, because I thought only females hibernate.

It is actually quite easy to sex them, because the compound eyes of males meet on the forehead. This is called "holoptic eyes" and is quite common around Diptera (true flies).

The conditions were quite hard, with a temperature of -5°C and about 30cm of snow, but I just had to get out to clear my mind after long sessions of studying for the finals.

I pushed the ISO to 400 and used a slow shutter-speed of 1/80sec to get a properly exposed sky in the background.

Shot with Canon 600D and the MP-E 65mm f2.8 macro lens and a 430 EX II flash with a homemade diffusor.

2 shots stacked manually.

Damn, I make some hot shoes.

Black Lotus Clothing is a collection of unique, hand-sewn pieces originally inspired by the SF Bay Area's Fusion belly dance scene. What makes Black Lotus unique is the care that goes into making each piece. Our creations are rigorously stitched, torn, disassembled, screen printed, dyed, revamped and artfully tattered.. Details like beads, buttons and feathers are carefully placed, and every garment is a one of a kind original creation. The end result is a creation that serves a purpose as well as tells a story.

Ice and SubZero (Prototype Sno-Buggy)

Name Ice Storm or Ice. A teen villain Captain Cold wannabe. Super gadgets and hi-tech toys he wants he takes, specially Mr. Freeze’s SubZero. Using stolen S.C.F. (Sub-Cold Fission) in his ice container cannon, it makes a powerful weapon vehicle to put the city on ice. [A removable cannon can be use as an ice gun.]
