The thrill of catching a gorgeous winter sunrise is unmatched by the feeling of sub-zero temperatures. Once the bone chilling feeling subsided, the emotion of this moment took over, making this pre-dawn cruise worthwhile.
Frigid and sub-zero centigrade temperatures have frozen water runoff on the rock formations outside of the Reading & Northern’s steam shops in Port Clinton, Pennsylvania as the former Gulf Mobile & Ohio pacific #425 warms up her cylinders for another day of steam railroading along the former Reading Railroad “Racetrack” on December 24, 2019.
Sorry for the inactivity on posting lately, i've been busy with school and really haven't had any motivation or ideas for any DC characters in awhile.
But recently i got back into Mortal Kombat too prepare for Raiden coming out as a DLC character on injustice 2, so i've had a lot of inspiration to make these MK characters recently so i'm going to stick with it for now, i plan to make some more characters, and update the 2 i've done in the past.
i thought there would be no better way to start this series than to use Sub-Zero as the first post, this costume is mostly based off of the MK3 design, my personal favorite.
This is also one of my entries to Scott Blankfield Purist Week Contest.
Let me know what you think, and enjoy!

With sub-zero temperatures creeping across much of the Northern Hemisphere, we've seen astonishing images that melt our hearts.

Here are three similar entries into the short lives Sub Zero line. There were 7 original offerings, #1-6 and a specialty N2T colorway with lines instead of a polished or frosted outter rim. These three represent the three +Red lensed colorways. The #3 on the left and #6 in the middle are from the original lineup. Later on, the #1-3 converted to a #N and lost most of the outter edge. The #3N on the right is an example.
I was still getting over a terrible virus, and riding my bike in sub-zero temps into the wind and I thought I wasn't going to make it, but this little angel was watching over me.
In Sub zero temperatures, Amtrak’s Lake Shore Limited pulls into to Chicago with the 50th anniversary unit leading about 2 1/2 hours late.

My 1978 Ford Cortina 2.0S features on the right. Bought it from a mate for £750 and did a lot of miles in it until it was stolen from the Dock Road in Liverpool. Royal Insurance paid out £725, I was on mileage at work at the time so the car paid for itself!
* A look at my notes for this day told me I was on the picket line for strike duty later that afternoon after a morning here.
I photographed six Peaks, a Rat on ballast, a failed 47 on the 07.50 York - Llandudno which had been rescued by a Railfreight 31, two tank trains and many DMU's.

Sub-zero again this morning with a lovely light from the rising sun which set this line of trees off above the misty ground. There are even a few birds in there too. Taken with my Sony RX pointy-shooty thing. Looking East from the area of East Calder, Scotland
Holmesfield, Derbyshire - ice, snow, hoar frost, mist and sub-zero temperature removing almost all colour from the landscape.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.
With temperatures below freezing it was the shape of her fur hood that caught my eye for the shot - the natural light highlights in her eyes really made the shot sing for me. I need to get myself a suitable coat for shooting in the winter - I layer up underneath my usual attire but that means the wind gets through, no wonder I was cold!
I sometimes get comments about my candid subjects looking like someone famous but I see one this time. I can see Jennifer Coolidge in this shot.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
After record breaking sub zero temperatures and snow mayhem, when the sun shined on the weekend... it was spectacular. As if this was a reward for living through the winter chaos.

In sub-zero conditions at 6.20 am on 26th February 2018, CFF Viseu 760mm gauge Bo-Bo diesel-hydraulic 87-0032-0 heads away from the Viseu de Sus woodyard with the day's production train working for the timber felling sites. Unlike my first visit three years before, just one production train per day is now operating, in accordance with state-enforced tree-felling limitations.

High deflector-fitted 'JS' 2-8-2 No.8040 moves off shed at Songshuzen at 7.35am on 11th January 2001. It would be turned on the shed turntable, an unusual feature for China Rail depots, before taking the morning freight service to Baihe, along with sister loco 8208. The limited space here, with a steep-sided hill alongside the depot and railway, prevented the usual triangle preferred by China Rail from being installed. Built at Datong works in 1987, the 'JS' it was merely 14 years old when I photographed it at Songshuzen. Withdrawn from China Rail service within a year of this, it found further service at the Sandaoling opencast mine in the north west of China, losing its deflectors in the process.

Once temperatures go sub-zero during during night time for more than a week or so, the leafs of the larches turn yellow. They later are then being dropped from the branches of in order to prevent dissipation of the water in the tree.
Braving the sub zero temperatures in the region of -14 is nothing if you're dressed properly but braving to walk on the ice when it has an insulating layer of snow on top of it is perhaps dicing a little with danger.
Still this is the result and although it's a typical sunset, I thought I'd share it none the less as conditions have been nothing short of incredible in my neck of the woods.
This is a favourite spot - Loch Mallachie in the Cairngorms National Park which neighbours Loch Garten. It's frozen solid with about a foot of snow on tops of the ice.
Happy New Year and all the best for 2010.
