finally, I got a fun afternoon
so much fun
had such a good time going to Barbican Center to see The House of Victor & Rolf exhibition with the girls
it was amazing, the exhibition. breath-takingly amazing. the (ideas of) collections drove me crazy (in a good way)
dinner was mind-blowingly good. salmon skin maki rolls are so yum (i believe i could eat thousands of those)
the cakes were yum, too ^^
and i'm in love with the girls' vintage style. Holly, where did you get that jacket from again? and the bag, oh. fabulous!

Black British Style (V&A Museum) was the first exhibition of its kind in the UK, highlighting the variety of lifestyles that co-exist in black culture. It focused on dress but also incorporated music, photography and film.
Per request, we ate lunch on our first day in Tucson at In-N-Out Burger. P had the double-double animal protein style (far left - with all the toppings, and lettuce wrap instead of a bun). And we knew they'd give us too many fries so the three of us split one order. Food was great as usual!

I decided to do a look for both of my youngest girls (since they have been a bit neglected in the sewing realm)...I guess you could classify it as classic/vintage meets mod. Anyway, I made the Village Frock for Caroline, her headband, and her tights..and then a reversible vintage swing smock for Clara and ruched leggings.

We went back in time to the Fabulous 50s on Sunday 24 May 2015 with music, dancing, pastimes, retro glamour, period vehicles and costumed characters at National Museum of Rural Life, East Kilbride.
