more like, a hot mess of an omelette sandwiched betwixt a croissant. the pancakes were excessive but pretty.
First night home after our trip; I just had a craving (and leftover home-made marinara in the freezer).
A juvenile robin, having just made his first flight from the nest -- the nest just outside the back porch door at the parents' house, NHT, PA.
I made some stuffed mushrooms and they were pretty tasty!
I haven't really tried making anything but desserts, so this was pretty new for me I guess. Except I still used the oven. Haha.
Chopped mushroom stems, crushed nuts, thyme, garlic, pepper and salt, chopped parsley, cream cheese, and some half & half milk.

... pregúntale a tu piel.
¿Ya no te acuerdas?, compañerita mía,
cuando te hablé
de mi universo, ¿ves?,
no me creías... ¿no?.
trenzan flores
pa' adornar fronteras
Hay una mirada
que susurra a mis espaldas
cuando los secretos
o se dicen, o se callan.
Si yo te juro vida mía
que puedo hacer
de este universo para ti uno bien
y tu me juras vida mía,
que puede ser
tú, y yo y el cielo, el cielo, aquél.
Y yo te juro vida mía
que puedo hacer
de este universo para ti uno bien,
y tú me juras vida mía
que puede ser...
que existen los rincones,
las tardes que se ponen.
Porque hay estrellan que brillan
pero no se ven
y existen sitios que nunca pude conocer..."

To the Natural History Museum's secret wing in Tring.
This room was closed off to the public for refurbishment. It looked like it was full dogs from all breeds stuffed from nose to tail.
I made stuff, and put it in my Etsy shop.
I wonder how it will do?
I had envisions last night of making an army of little teeny cupcakes and taking a picture of like 20 of them in a big pile. But i think it I want to make a bunch I will need more safety eyes, stitching the facial features is difficult for me!
I have never been able to explain a stuffed quahog to friends on the west coast. So glad I finally got a photo of one I can point to now. This one was at Kent's in Swansea, MA.
