Carol Wansley is a ceramic artist who had moved to Michigan from Georgia with her husband Mac as his work brought him here. She called me out of the blue to photograph her ceramics for art fair entry applications. We became quick friends, and since she was happy with my photography of her art I made several trips to her house to add to her collection of images. Within a couple of years, Mac's work took them back to their home in Georgia where they were able to spend time with their then-first grandchild. An interesting note about this photograph... Mac asked me if the reflection in Carol's eye was deliberate as it somewhat replicates her ceramic pots. I wish I could take credit for that. I can't, but I'm as glad as the next person when luck sticks its nose into things.
