So much going on! I have a stack of poetry books to grade tonight...more tomorrow. School is almost out!

[6 of 6]

This is one of my classroom bulletin boards......I try to change student work on this at least once a month (twice a month would be ideal, but the reality is there isn't enough prep time to do that usually. Still have the other classroom bulletin boards and the school ones to keep up!)

Gone are the student teaching days when I spent an incredible amount of time planning and putting up a bulletin board.....now my rule is, it's gotta' take me 30 minutes or less.

This one was quick because I didn't die-cut any letters for the heading.

This board is great for accountablity.....I post work as students finish, and it's pretty obvious by the remaining empty spaces who still needs to finish work! =)

This was done when I was in college, ca. 1988-90.

I photographed it at an angle, which is why the legs look so much bigger than they really should.

student work

Students learned the names of the major bones of the human body and drew from observation using small, 24" scale models of the human skeleton. They were to focus on correct proportions and using value to create the illusion of three dimensions. They also experimented with layering using pastels in the background.

This is the work of the Graphic Design 2 students at Taiyuan Normal University in Taiyuan City, Shanxi, China. Their work is impressive. They are excellent at package design, have an a mazing sense of color and clearly understand the language of visual metaphors. We are happy to be collaborating with them this semester.
