The final review for Exquisite Corpse: A Whole with Many Parts, taught by visiting critics Jimenez Lai and Mark Acciari.
Students enrolled in the “Improvisational Forms” dance course at Wesleyan University performed May 6 and May 8 at various locations, and on objects, around campus. The class is designed to explore various approaches to dance improvisation. Students learn to expand movement vocabulary, increase compositional awareness, develop their creative thinking and observational skills, and sharpen their performance presence.The class is taught by Susan Lourie, adjunct professor of dance. The UIS community enjoyed Welcome Week activities during the week of August 20. This annual tradition is designed to introduce students to Chancellor and Mrs. Ringeisen, clubs and organizations, sporting events, and many other aspects of our campus. Great info, good food, live music, and lots of fun.
