Yesterday we went to Stuart to pick up my moms Schnauzer puppy. I took this on the way home. It was a decent day but also pretty boring, I need to finish a school project and then I'm going back to sleep. Maybe ill get up later to take some decent pictures.....probably not.

The Battle Flag of the Stuart Horse Artillery stands in the Jennelle Cemetery where The United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Sons of Confederate Veterans gathered at the Jennelle Cemetery in Blacksburg to honor the 10-Confederate Veterans resting in the cemetery. They honored and remembered each veteran by placing the Iron Southern Cross of Honor at each grave.

Looking down on Stuart Lake from Horseshoe Lake

This the site where historians believe the main house at Laurel Hill once stood. General J. E. B. Stuart was born on this site in 1833. The house was built in 1830 and burned down in 1847. The exact location of the home or what it looked like has never been determined.
