An odd structure near the back of Natureland Park. Couldn't quite figure ou t what it was really for, but someone obviously wanted to construct it.
Structure near Largs
This is said to be just a slipway but has a lot of similarities to a boom defence building.

NS16SE 12 1915 6266
Immediately S of a slipway 30m W of the gate lodge for Knock Castle (NS16SE 6) is a brick and concrete building with a flat roof. The building measures approximately 4m by 8m and is about 3.3m in height. It has four ventilators on the long side and two on the ends. The purpose to which this building was put is not known but it is almost certainly of military construction. At the N end a new rolling door has been fitted and its present use is possibly a garage.

Actually it's a standing puzzle for the kiddos, tho I didn't see a one go near it. I just thought it was interesting.

Built in 1895 and featuring Châteauesque (or French Renaissance) design, this structure stands at 27 Riverside Road.
The Riverside Historic District, also known as Riverside Landscape Architecture District, encompasses what is arguably one of the first planned suburbs in the United States. The district encompasses the majority of the village of Riverside, which was planned and designed by Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted and features a number of architecturally distinguished buildings.
The district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and was designated a National Historic Landmark District in 1970.
