The 2018 US Army Europe Ball took place at Schloss Biebrich in Wiesbaden, Germany on 13 October 2018. The event commemorated 100 years of the US Army in the Rheinland. Attendees were addressed by US Army Europe Commanding General Christopher Cavoli and guest speaker Minister Robert Lewentz, the State Minister for the Interior for Sport & Infrastructure in Rheinland-Pflalz. On June 11, 2018 Latvian soldiers together with Canadien led eFP battlegroup soldiers, US 2nd Cavalry regiment and US Army cadets train together in exercise “Saber Strike 2018” as defending force; the training takes place in Skrunda region, including Nīkrāce, Lēnas, Tukums and Rudbārži.
Combat training is conducted at the Ādaži Training Area and outside the training area, in Rucava, Nīca, Grobiņa, Priekule, Durbe, Aizpute, Skrunda, Vaiņode, Saldus and Limbaži districts.
Saber Strike, led by United Stated Army Europe, is an annual joint training of land and air forces, which began on 2010.

Piektdien, 2018. gada 25. maijā Ventspilī ieradās NATO 1. pastāvīgās jūras pretmīnu grupas (SNMCMG1) kuģi Beļģijas Jūras spēku komandiera Pītera Rambjēra (Peter Ramboer) vadībā. Kuģi Ventspilī uzkavējas līdz 27.maijam.
Šobrīd grupas sastāvā ietilpst kuģi: HNLMS Mercuur (Nīderlande), FGS Bad Bevensen (Vācija), HNoMS Otra (Norvēģija), BNS Narcis (Beļģija), HNLMS URK (Nīderlande), Dānijas mīnu neitralizēšanas droni un ūdenslīdēju atmīnētāju komanda no Portugāles.
Standing NATO Mine Counter Measures Group One (SNMCMG1) under command of Commander Peter Ramboer of the Belgian Navy arrived in Ventspils, Latvia on May 25th 2018 staying till May 27th.
Currently the group consists of 6 units: HNLMS Mercuur (The Netherlands), FGS Bad Bevensen (Germany), HNoMS Otra (Norway), BNS Narcis (Belgium), HNLMS URK (The Netherlands) , Danish Mine Clearance drones (MCM Denmark) and a Clearance Diving Team from Portugal.

Latvijā mācību aktīvā fāze notiek Ādažu poligonā no 3. līdz 15.jūnijam. No 9. līdz 14.jūnijam mācību norise plānota arī ārpus poligona - Amatas, Mālpils, Ogres, Ropažu, Salaspils un Stopiņu novados, kur bataljona līmeņa vienības, pārvietojoties ar bruņutehniku, veiks mācību uzdevumus ar zemju īpašniekiem saskaņotās teritorijās.
Šogad apvienoto sauszemes un gaisa spēku mācību vadošā valsts ir Latvija. Mācībās Latvijā piedalās vairāk nekā 2000 karavīru no Latvijas, Lietuvas, Itālijas, Norvēģijas, Lielbritānijas, Polijas un Slovākijas, kā arī ASV.
Mācībās tiek uzlabota dalībvalstu sadarbība, gatavības un kaujas spējas, kā arī demonstrēta sabiedroto spēja ātri reaģēt un pārvietot spēkus visā reģionā.
„Saber Strike” ir ikgadējas ASV vadītas apvienotās sauszemes un gaisa spēku mācības, kas tiek organizētas jau kopš 2010.gada.

Turpinās ASV Armijas Eiropā vadītās starptautiskās militārās mācības “Allied Spirit VI”, kurās Latvijas Nacionālo bruņoto spēku Sauszemes spēku kājnieku brigādes štābs uzņēmies brigādes, ko veido karavīri no 10 valstīm, vadību. Turpinās ASV Armijas Eiropā vadītās starptautiskās militārās mācības “Allied Spirit VI”, kurās Latvijas Nacionālo bruņoto spēku Sauszemes spēku kājnieku brigādes štābs uzņēmies brigādes, ko veido karavīri no 10 valstīm, vadību. Mācības norisinās līdz 31.martam, tajās piedalās ap 2770 karavīru no 12 valstīm – ASV, Kanādas, Čehijas, Igaunijas, Francijas, Ungārijas, Vācijas, Itālijas, Maķedonijas, Latvijas, Nīderlandes un Slovēnijas.

ASV Armijas Eiropā vadītajās starptautiskajās militārās mācībās “Allied Spirit VI”, kas notiek no 8.līdz 31.martam Hohenfelsā, Vācijā piedalās aptuveni 500 Latvijas karavīru ar 130 militārās tehnikas vienībām, tai skaitā 30 kaujas izlūkošanas kāpurķēžu bruņumašīnas. Tā ir līdz šim lielākā Nacionālo bruņoto spēku iesaiste mācībās ārvalstīs.
Mācību “Allied Spirit VI” mērķis ir pilnveidot iesaistīto vienību spējas plānot un vadīt augstas intensitātes militārās operācijas daudznacionālā vidē.

2017. gada 17. februārī Ādažu bāzes teritorijā notiek CISM skrējiens, kurā piedalās Latvijas Sauszemes spēku kājnieku brigādes karavīri un ASV 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljons "Silver Lions" karavīri.

8.februārī Latvijā tika nogādāta un Garkalnes stacijā izkrauta ASV 4.kājnieku divīzijas 3.bruņotās brigādes 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona bruņutehnika, tai skaitā 15 tanki “Abrams” un 6 kājnieku kaujas mašīnas “Bradley”.
225 karavīri no 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona ieradās Ādažos jau pagājušās nedēļas nogalē, lai nomainītu 173.kājnieku brigādes 503.desanta pulka karavīrus, kas pildījuši dienesta pienākumus Latvijā operācijā “Atlantic Resolve” kopš pagājušā gada septembra.
No 6. līdz 9.janvārim Vācijā no ASV, Kolorado, ieradās 4.kājnieku divīzijas 3.bruņotās brigādes kaujas grupa ar 3500 karavīriem, 87 tankiem “Abrams”, 18 pašgājējām haubicēm “Palladin” un 114 kājnieku kaujas mašīnām “Bradley”. Šie karavīri ar bruņutehniku pārņem rotācijas pienākumu pildīšanu operācijā “Atlantic Resolve” Baltijas valstīs.

On February 8 the first equipment, including 15 tanks “Abrams”, of 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team (Iron Brigade), 4th Infantry Division, arrived in Garkalne railway station, Latvia.
Equipment and Soldiers from 1st Bn., 68th Armor Reg., and supporting units from 3rd ABCT started already in the beginning of February.
The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team (Iron Brigade), 4th Infantry Division, started onward movement of its combined-arms battalions from Poland to seven nations last week, starting with the push of its first combined-arms battalion to Germany as part of Atlantic Resolve.

Dragoon Ready is a 7th Army Training Command/JMRC led exercise designed to enhance readiness and qualify 2CR in Unified Land Operations. Roughly 3,000 2CR Soldiers will participate.

17.februārī Ādažu bāzē notika svinīgā ASV 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona “Silver Lions” karavīru sagaidīšanas ceremonija.
Nacionālo bruņoto spēku komandieris ģenerālmajors Leonīds Kalniņš, Sauszemes spēku kājnieku brigādes komandieris pulkvedis Ilmārs Atis Lejiņš, ASV vēstniece Latvijā Nensija Baikofa Petita un 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona komandieris pulkvežleitnants Stīvens Keiphārts sveica ASV karavīrus ar ierašanos Latvijā un kopīgu treniņu uzsākšanu ar Latvijas karavīriem.
Pasākuma laikā bija iespēja aplūkot Latvijas un ASV bruņutehniku.
Jau ziņots, ka 8.un 9.februārī Latvijā tika nogādāta ASV 4.kājnieku divīzijas 3.bruņotās brigādes 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona bruņutehnika, tai skaitā 15 tanki “M1 Abrams”, sešas kaujas mašīnas “M2 Bradley”, divas inženieru tehnikas vienības mīnu lauka iznīcināšanai, kā arī cita veida kaujas atbalsta un nodrošinājuma tehnika, kas tiks izmantota kopīgās mācībās ar Latvijas karavīriem.
Vairāk nekā 225 karavīri no 68.bruņotā pulka 1.bataljona ieradās Ādažos februāra sākumā un viņi nomainīs ASV 173.kājnieku brigādes 503.desanta pulka karavīrus, kas pildīja dienesta pienākumus Latvijā operācijā “Atlantic Resolve” kopš pagājušā gada septembra.
Pēc Krievijas veiktās Krimas aneksijas 2014.gada pavasarī un agresijas Ukrainas austrumos ASV ir sākusi mācību operāciju „Atlantic Resolve”. Operācijas mērķis ir apliecināt ASV nepārtraukto ieguldījumu NATO dalībvalstu kolektīvajā drošībā, veicinot mieru un stabilitāti Baltijas valstīs un Polijā. Operācija ir izvērsta arī Rumānijā un Bulgārijā.
