For several years I have been trying to be in the exact right spot and time to capture an image of the full moon rising directly the lighthouse as its red beacon shines every 3-seconds.
I often get fairly close to that ideal image, but I always seem to miss it for several reasons. Full moon was yesterday and, while I like this shot, I once again failed to get that perfect capture that I'm striving for :(
But I will keep trying and eventually WILL hit paydirt!
This was 22 minutes after moonrise and 40 minutes after sundown. Featured here is the Sheboygan Harbor and the landmark red lighthouse.

Striving for that perfect black and white flower shot, whatever that might be. Not quite there, but I like it.
I am not a "flower photographer", but I do enjoy the challenge of getting a good flower shot. And while I don’t always know what kind of flower I am shooting, on a good day, I can usually tell a rose from a daisy.

I still remember this tree years later, and it took me much longer to process this shot than I'd expected. It's not perfect, but it conveys the message I felt well when I first saw this guy striving for life in old age and after weathering many storms. It's on an exposed ridgeline in Patagonia, and as anyone who's been there during a storm knows... this guy has seen some insane conditions and lived through it all.

A lone flower bringing vibrant yellow and purple to the surrounding sea of greens. Summer still has some colours to give yet!

The Pink Tractor is located at Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers, Kentucky and carries unique & trendy clothing and accesories for girls of all ages. This bright, hot pink Massey Ferguson tractor sits in front of the shop which makes it hard to miss.
