Effort is noble, yet attachment to results is bondage; pursuit is natural, yet enslavement to desire is illusion.
Near Zuurberg a common site. I feel I was o the thresholds of shutterspeed and exposure compensation as I strive for a lower exposure. Presently my favourite bird photo.

′′ True holiness is not to strive to live without the creatures. It consists of using the things of this world to accomplish the will of God. It consists of using God's creation in such a way that everything we touch, see, use and love gives God new glory. Being holy means passing through the world harvesting fruit for the sky, from each tree, and collecting the glory of God in each field.
The Holy One is the one who is in touch with God in every way possible and in every direction possible. He is united with God in the depths of his own being. See and touch God in everything and everyone who encircles Him. Everywhere you go, the world sounds and resonates (albeit silently) with the deep and pure harmonies of God's glory."
-Thomas Merton, ′′ Time and Liturgy ", Voices 1968, p. 140.
Striving for the unbearable Beauty
Striving for that "perfect" black and white flower shot, whatever that may be. Instead of simulating silver-based emulsion film when converting to B&W, I often simulate platinum emulsion glass plates, as I did here.
I am not a "flower" photographer, and I don't always know what kind of flower I am shooting, but I do enjoy the challenge of getting a good flower shot.
And, on a good day, I can usually tell the difference between a rose and a daisy.

If you always strive for light at your back eventually your pics will all look the same. Thought I'd mix things up a bit by shooting into some really harsh light to produce a dramatic effect. It took a little time with the processing, but I kinda like the results.

Buona giornata

I am not a "flower photographer", but I do enjoy the challenge of getting a good flower shot. And while I don’t always know what kind of flower I am shooting, on a good day, I can usually tell a rose from a daisy.
Dr. Snaut: "We don‘t want to conquer space at all. We want to expand Earth endlessly. We don‘t want other worlds; we want a mirror. We seek contact and will never achieve it. We are in the foolish position of a man striving for a goal he fears and doesn‘t want. Man needs man!" (Stanislav Lem – Solaris)
