the title basically says it all. I was trying to get a pic of what a string pluck looks like, and so I set the camera on multi take, and I must have taken 500 of these things before I got a few semi-decent ones (wait, why did I need to take a picture of a bass string being plucked again?)
Summer in Helsinki - and they make a children's playground out of coloured twine. It was brilliant, but probably broke every Health & Safety rule in the book!
We couldn't go much further than to this first windchest, for the narrow scale strings. There are eight windchests in the string division, which has 88 ranks of pipes. There are also two 32' stops in this division, which are on their sides at the back of the room.
I cleaned up my overflowing scrap bins over the holidays. After cutting postage stamps, charms, and jelly strips I started making these paper pieced string blocks with the left over scraps.

I am retiring the winder to the right of yard stick as the string comes off the front too easily resulting in tangles. Hopefully the two designs to the left will work better.

I hadn't done any string piecing before - not sure I've got the tension correct (so I can remove the papers easily). Obviously I need more practice.
