The end of a hike; cross this stream and you are in the parking lot. This is my favorite trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. Each rear I try to pick a destination from this trailhead, and it never gets old to me.
I can't explain the color of this stream in W VA . It was pinkish reflecting the color of the stone below . The color was the same in the 6 images I took .
Right before the sunset, this creek was already shadowed while a hill above it was all lit with orange sunlight. I was lucky to witness these wonderful reflections.
When we arrived in Coles Bay the afternoon before, we could not have imagined how lovely a day was ahead of us for our walk in the Freycinet National Park. I had planned to take some sunset shots when we arrived, but that was soon out of the question as heavy rain persisted. But from the moment I got up to take those dawn shots on this morning the sky was crystal clear.
Everything on the slopes of The Hazards was so green and fresh as the streams of sunlight produced a delightful Autumn day in the Freycinet.
Hi everone... I'm running behind once again, but doing my best to catch up with everyone here.
Have a great weekend, and hope to see you soon!
This small river runs across the Haines Highway between Haines Junction and Kathleen Lake. It's a beautiful spot to stop and have a look around. I have visited this place on a number of ocasions, and on this visit discovered that the river level was quite low, facilitating a shot closer to the centre of the river bed than is always possible.
This photo was taken with the Canon EOS R and RF 24-105mm f/4.0 L mounted to a sturdy tripod and ballhead combination. I used a circular polarizing filter and an ND1000 filter to reduce reflections and extend the shutter time, thus blurring the water somewhat. The finished image is a tone mapped stack of three seperate exposures to capture as much dynamic range as possible on the bright late summer's day that I encountered.
The early morning mist in the valley of the River Dove. Hartington village is in the centre of the shot, partially hidden by the mist
