(Swedish: Svartån) The stream flows through the city of Västerås. The weir was built in 1891 together with the Turbine House, a small hydroelectric power plant. This early electrification encouraged ASEA, a large electricity equipment manufacturer, to concentrate its operations in Västerås. After the 1988 merger with the power systems company Brown, Boveri & Cie, ASEA became ABB Group (ABB in Västerås produces e.g. robots and drive systems for the industry, high-voltage direct current transmission and power grids).
Beautiful romantic Colorado mountain forest stream to hang out on in the summer months to cool off from the heat. Wild Basin, Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder County.

On my walk yesterday I came across lots of frogs in a small stream. There were adult ones and plenty of froglets, many sunbathing under the watchful eye of the bigger frogs.

Just a few miles from my home outside Marietta Ohio is this amazing cliff face were a tiny stream dribbling over and through the rock face over countless millennia has formed this impressive cave like recess into the sandstone cliff face. It is an impressive feature but almost impossible to photograph without stitching several photos together. This is a four photo panorama.
This crystal-clear stream flows through the historic Roaring Springs Ranch located in the high desert of southeastern Oregon. Roaring Springs Ranch is a contiguous block of over a million acres of land. It includes 260,000 acres of deeded property plus grazing rights on an additional 800,000 acres of public land. Elevation of the valley in this photograph is approximately 4,500 feet.

Sometimes I come across posts on social media where some photographers go around trying to substantiate their views on the ground that they are Award Winning Photographers. Now, do really awards determine one’s photographic ability and all the associated ken? While I admire most award-winning photographs, I may not agree with the opinions of most award-winning photographers on subjects related to image making. There is no general truth in art apart from may be things like the Fibonacci sequence et al. What I believe is that winning an award does not make one a superlative photographer, and this is not a case of sour grapes for me, even though I have not seen my name on award lists except some aberrant instances. In any case, my images are probably not deserving either, but that does not take away from me enjoying photography and trying to improve my knowledge.
Something I needed to be out of my head. Done with. As for the image, one dark, dreary drizzly day amidst the Covid enforced bindings, I had been out driving and in a part on the edges of town, by the road where the forest pushes against it, I espied a small brook emanating from the denseness of the forest, a gurgle of joyousness amidst the sternness of the foliage on that overcast, drizzly day. Luckily for me, my cam was in the car and so was my tripod, so parking myself by the road, I tried to make a frame, of the brook as it streamed on, while the fog/mist entwined itself in those plants and trees.
A left over shot from the snow we got last month. These are some ducks in the stream in my back yard hoping I've been to the store to get another 50 pound bag of cracked corn.
It may be an old Winter scene, but it just begs to be seen Large On Black
