I bought several "custom frames" from Goodwill. Unfortunately, I didn't measure them and then realized standard canvases don't come in those sizes. A wonderful young man at Home Depot cut a big piece of Masonite for me so I'll have a board for each of my frames. Here is my first painting on Masonite. I ended up with supports for 13 paintings for only $9.00!
Taken near Denham Bridge, Devon
My First try at capturing silky water properly with the aid of a polarizing filter which worked really nicely I think.

Ladakh, although dry, occasionally gives a glimpse of water and vegetation between barren Himalayan hills
Right in our backyard at the footstool of Timpanogos is American Fork Canyon and the Alpine Loop. This is from the Timpanooke Trail Head. A perfect place to find wooded serenity, to enjoy nature, and rejuvenate.
A few years ago, the melted snow of a fantastic La Niña snowfall season filled our streams. In fact, this one was overflowing just before this point of view.
This is a little side stream that feeds into Cove Creek in Polk County, NC. You have to cross this on your way to Little Bradley Falls.

This is the same set of rocks that appear in the previous post.
Hidden on Maui's north shore there are streams to explore. Off the beaten path here the shape of the rocks was mesmerizing.

Went on a Moth hunt along this steep sided part of the stream I had to put the cryptic Moths to flight and try and observe where they resettled On a few occasions I was successful but many flew too high up the bank or too far or I simply could not follow them with my eyes :-(
southeast Olympic Mountain stream off of FS road #23. Wanted to hike on the S. Fork Skok river today, but got a late start and then found one of those stupid game gates 5 miles from the trail head. ( should have checked my FS Hoodsport District map ) :(
Looking at these mossy rocks breaking a mountain stream I always think about how they got there. Rain water erodes the limestone cliffs of these mountains and they eventually break in pieces and fall down into this stream.
The scent by this stream in the woods is sulphur-like, like that of a match. The colour is original, not photoshopped.
