Not sure about this shot but I did like the tree in the water.

Up the airy mountain,

Down the rushy glen,

We daren't go a-hunting

For fear of little men;

Wee folk, good folk,

Trooping all together;

Green jacket, red cap,

And grey cock's feather!

this is one from last year that I never posted anywhere myself and John Duffy from Limerick camera club hit out one morning for Gallows hill for sunrise on our way back Johnny mention this stream outside meelick where he used to go as a child (cant remember if he said he went catching sticklebacks or kissin girls there) but over a gate we went and after a short all be it muddy walk we came on the most magical stream that I never even knew exsisted from the road thebanks were carpeted by flowers and the trees only grew on the bank not a deep forest thus allowing the light to stream through like lasers well worth a visit by anyone in the limerick area and trust me this image doesnt do it justice either

Just another of many thousands of beautiful spots in the Smokies.

I bought several "custom frames" from Goodwill. Unfortunately, I didn't measure them and then realized standard canvases don't come in those sizes. A wonderful young man at Home Depot cut a big piece of Masonite for me so I'll have a board for each of my frames. Here is my first painting on Masonite. I ended up with supports for 13 paintings for only $9.00!

My First try at capturing silky water properly with the aid of a polarizing filter which worked really nicely I think.

#3810 - 2018 Day 157: A quite wonderful, productive day. Secured a major new piece of work, did some writing, enjoyed a fun evening of judging a club final's night. And invested a serene few minutes observing a stream. Perfect ...
