On my walk yesterday I came across lots of frogs in a small stream. There were adult ones and plenty of froglets, many sunbathing under the watchful eye of the bigger frogs.

I was in awe the first time I saw the effect of silkiness of water flowing. The first image I purchased from a photographer was of this effect. Now I have somewhat mastered the same.

A very clear chalk stream with a diverse ecosystem and industry thriving along it including watercress propagation and trout fisheries.
I'm sure about half the photos I take are attempts at reflections in water... That's what comes of spending much of my free time taking the kids to feed the ducks in the local parks. Here I liked the fact there were lots of leaves floating in the water amongst the reflected canopy of the tree. Oh and the colours, so magical.
We're half way between Richmond and Bushy Parks, very lucky to have such stunning places on our doorstep. Last weekend it was pouring with rain, and there we were, the ONLY people in Richmond park it seemed (other than couple of brave dog walkers), waterproofed up, duck bread in hand. Very wet and muddy, but oh how lovely to come home after for a hot chocolate. One of the joys of winter, warming up after a cold wet walk...
It's useful when the stream is wider than your arms and you want to take a picture from the middle. Then you just take the drone and fly to the desired point. 😉😂

Getting to this place was not easy. I had to go on a single lane dirt road to reach the beaver ponds. My Camry had a tough time on this road. At one spot me and another huge pickup truck were stuck adjacent to each other so both of us had to backup, I didn't realize there was a guy tailgating me on this road so I backed up without looking and heard a loud bam. I looked back and got out of my car and an old white guy got out of his SUV and said "You got a license young man" I a little intimidated said "Yeah" and the next minute he looked at the front bumper for his SUV and there was not even a slight scratch but I could see his licence place engraved on my rear bumper. Then he looks at me and says "How about we go ahead then?" I being at fault here coudln't day anything other than "Okay" and we went out ways. Only reward for me after this mess was this shot, it turned out pretty good so I wasn't completely disappointed :) The next time I go here I am renting a pickup truck.

The little creek at Sterling Valley Gorge in Stowe, Vermont during fall foliage. A spectacular place regardless of the season, but I had never seen it like this.
