Just below the falls is a great place to explore, especially when the main falls is overrun with tourists.

I was driving on the A4086 towards Capel Curig that morning, when a break in the clouds opened this spectacular light.
I left the car to the side of the road, grabbed camera and a lens and rushed through the first gate I could find to an open field. There I found this scene.
Having left my tripod in the car, I had to compromise slightly on DOF and ISO. Luckily I had a ND grad filter in my jacket, which helped balancing the sky.
I think this image looks a little HDR, but apart from some levels and sharpness, nothing was added/removed from the real scene.
I wish I had remembered to take my tripod, I wanted to try doing the smooth water look, but you have to keep the camera very still to do them. If you look in large size you can see the photo is not that sharp. I tried sharpening it a touch in picnik, might try in PS later.
this is 1.6 seconds hand held.
This was where Bernie and I turned around during our walk this evening. It's the north end of Harbor Drive and Lindbergh Field (San Diego, California's Airport) is over the other side of those palm trees. It's great for the soul that we are allowed to walk practicing social distancing here. I have to say that the majority of the people we come across are very mindful regards what is expected. During times such as these for some it is their calling. There are some extraordinary people... I truly believe that one day our California Governor Gavin Newsom will be President of The United States of America. Mr. Gavin is super smart and has a huge heart!
