On our way over to Oxbow Bend (I wanted to check the area out as a potential sunrise spot) we crossed over this river ... it caught my eye, so we pulled over beyond the bridge so I could explore for a few minutes.

Made a couple LE captures at this location. This one was composed with the Tetons off there in the distance. Like the river and the rocks there along the bank.

A Stream in a wood

A dusting of snow covers rocky moraine and ice on the Canwell Glacier in the Eastern Alaska range.

one of the benefits of the boys returning to tae kwon do after having august off, is its location next to the railroad tracks, to which I am drawn like a magnet. luckily, I've gotten the exposures and positioning down and this was my one and only shot last night.

Out for a walk with the kids at half term and this was the only shot i took! it was a lovely stream flowing over grass and it reminded me of an massive Andy Goldsworth print we have at work which had objects placed in the water delicately drawing you eye through the scene - but that's his shot not mine!

anyway, just managed to get the light meter out and press the shutter release before i had to dash off. i'm quite pleased i didn't spend too much time as i often find the first exposure is the best of the bunch. and anyway the stream will be there for years to come for a repeat visit

Today's dog walk cut a bit short as the ground looked a little damp!

The path continues the other side of the bridge to the tree line at the bottom of the hill - we decided to turn back rather than end up with a muddy soggy doggy!
