Staying in Northumberland with the in laws this weekend and they live within a km of the River Tweed which divides England and Scotland. This is a stream that runs into the Tweed and yes the wild garlic carpeting the ground really is that green!
The smell is amazing as you walk over the garlic and it can be used to make Wild Garlic Pesto or just fried with butter.
"Allium ursinum is widespread across most of Europe. It grows in deciduous woodlands with moist soils, preferring slightly acidic conditions. In the British Isles, colonies are frequently associated with bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta), especially in ancient woodland. It is considered to be an Ancient Woodland Indicator (AWI) species."

Rephaim Stream Park is a part of The Jerusalem Park and both are part of Judean Mountains National Park.
Another photograph that I took earlier this summer of the yellow water lilies and reflected light in the Seacourt Stream. Apparently theses lilies are also known as Spatterdock - Not a particularly "floral name" ! Whilst I'm limited for photo opportunities I've been playing with photos in my archives and decided I liked the colours created by the textures added to this image.

I have found that I have been slow in posting to flickr because I feel a touch of guilt for not being active at all on the site. I think I posted this one a full month ago on another site and there are several subsequent shots that I have not uploaded as well.

Coastal Northern California has a Mediterranean climate, so, that means there will be a pronounced season of rainy weather in the winter, a true wet season. What that means to someone who loves the coast is that the creeks and streams that were dry or nearly dry since spring will once again swell and transfer their water where gravity takes it. That usually means to the sea, just as the collected rain water flowing into the ocean in this image taken at a favorite black sand beach with no name. The light on this evening was just about monochromatic and that was fine with me because it made it easy to process. Haha. I hope you enjoyed seeing this glimpse of the Northern California coast.

One of the fabulous waterfalls in the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia.
The paths on the tourist routes are usually filled with tourists so it's hard to get good shots without going out of the path. By the time I took this photo, a guard came by and told me that it was forbidden to be there. Yes I was aware it was forbidden, yes I was naughty and yes it was so worth it! ;)

While the river of life glides along smoothly, it remains the same river; only the landscape on either bank seems to change.
Another image from Enån stream in Värmland county in Sweden, you can almost feel the trolls watching you.
I took a couple of photos at this spot along the West Highland Way in 2011, with a wider angle lens, and despite some technical shortcomings really liked them. But due to being convinced it was in a slightly different area about a mile further east, I could never relocate the exact spot.
Ten years later - almost to the day - I finally found it again, completely by chance. However, I think the wider angle did it more justice so I must give it another go next time I have the opportunity.
