The Photo Dummy broke down. Luckily I had just picked up a new ride from C.H.C and saw him stranded by the side of the rode. You should never pick up strangers, but he looks pretty harmless.

Our vacation in Czech Republic was, besides the great food, lovely people and beautiful scenery also all about wasps. O my.... I am sorry to say that we have probably killed more than a hundred. They were everywhere any minute of the day. I know they are also useful creatures, but I am sorry to say that I truly hate those little bastards. Sorry for my language. This wasp was one of his many colleagues who have stranded on our electric fly swatter. Yes, it is a tragedy and I feel a little bit bad right now...just a little..

This Eastern Meadowlark has possibly missed its southbound flight in the Fall and now stuck in the wintry landscape and living on whatever larva or grubs it finds under the snow and dead grass. It has been in the park for almost two months and survived many cold nights. It has not been reported seen since the last major snow fall on Feb 16. Hope it has relocated itself somewhere in the park. Downsview Park, Toronto.

Bar & Café in Bercy, Paris. I wonder how many of these people had been stranded in Paris by the SNCF strike, like us. Some people spent the night in the Bercy station round the corner. We were lucky and got a hotel room.

A little blue heron stands atop an isolated perch looking into what I think is a duckweed filled marsh. All I could think was how in the world can it see into the water to find fish? Or is more like "Yuck - I don't want to wade into that!"
