So I decided to do some night shooting by the pier this evening. I was going about my business just taking long exposures, and for some reason I looked over to my left to see this stranded baby seal staring back at me in the darkness. I couldn't believe it, I was stunned for a while. There's no doubt in my mind the seal was probably seperated from it's parents, because I have never seen a seal in this area before. I ended up calling the local police station who assured me the local aquarium has been notified, and they have the situation under control.
I almost took him home.

Taken at the Sea Tac Airport in Seattle when I was snowed in overnight. People were camped out all over the airport.
One aftermath of the heavy downfall. Parramatta Road under the western line rail bridge flooded and disrupted one of the main east-west roads. There are detours but the detour roads are single lane and wind through residential suburbs. This inundation probably caused at least half hour delays.
