In my world there is just no such thing as too many tea stops. This is the last of my 'holiday' snaps and its back to stinky work tomorrow.

the place that's no longer the City but hasn't made it to the West End either. bit hot down there today and a lot of tree pollen
The hotel was inaugurated in 1912. A former courtyard has nowadays a glass roof. Architect: Ludvig Peterson.
A quiet morning at the coast of Burgtiefe, Fehmarn. Thick fog hangs over the shoreline, muting colors and sound, while a lone figure stands by the water’s edge, fishing in solitude. The golden dune grass sways gently in the breeze, blending seamlessly into the stillness of the Baltic Sea. A serene and moody glimpse of nature’s calm moments.

We were with Freddie on the beach both Saturday and Sunday. Calm wind one day, and stiff gales the next. The poor ducks!

A long disused station on the Strand. Later renamed Aldwych, It was the end of a very short branch line from Holborn. It still exists and is used for equipment tests and for movies: scenes for V For Vendetta, amongst others, were filmed there.
After parking the car it was a short walk downhill to Traigh Mangarstadh (Mangersta) to watch the surf roll in. As I explored the rock formations along the southern end of the beach, I came upon these rocks. When I came behind the seaweed covered rocks, the angle of the sunlight turned the strands of draped seaweed into strands of gold.
Traigh Mangarstadh (Mangersta) is located on the B8011 on the western coast of the Isle of Lewis.
The Strand is beautiful with buses,
Fat and majestical in form,
Red like tomatoes in their trusses
In August, when the sun is warm.
They cluster in the builded chasm,
Corpulent fruit, a hundred strong,
And now and then a secret spasm
Spurs them a yard or two along.
Scarlet and portly and seraphic,
Contented in the summer's prime,
They beam among the jumbled traffic,
Patiently ripening with time,
Till, with a final jerk and rumble,
The Strand tomatoes, fat and fair,
Roll past the traffic lights and tumble
Gleefully down Trafalgar Square
'Buses On The Strand' by RP Lister: (1914 - )
I really wanted to illustrate this delightful poem and hung around on various Strand corners trying to get the shot. The light was going and I was walking to the tube when - voila - there they were. the phantoms of the Strand Tomatoes
By far the best sunset of the holiday. We nipped out on a cloudless evening to visit Trebarwith Strand for the sunset. Upon arriving, there was already one tog set up for the classic trebarwith shot, so I left the other half reading a book on her kindle and headed round the corner to see if there was anything interesting to shoot.
In the end I was extremely glad I did, as I found a depression in the cliffs which was absolutely stuffed with flowers. To top things off, as the sun dipped below the horizon, clouds started to magically appear as the air cooled and the water condensed.
I'm never 100% happy with anything I take, but this shot sums up Cornwall for me.
