The Magic moment of pink skies just before sunrise on the opposite horizon at Taberwith in Cornwall. The tide coming in fast was great for some slow exposure (and getting wet feet!)
Trebarwith Strand (Cornish: Trebervedh Sian; locally sometimes shortened to The Strand), is a coastal settlement and section of coastline located on the north coast of Cornwall, England, UK, 2 1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) south of Tintagel. It has 800m of sandy beach, contained by cliffs, in which natural caves are found.

Gammel Strand (modern Danish for "old beach"; originally meant "the old shoreline", i.e. prior to land reclamations) is a street and public square in central Copenhagen, Denmark.
Copenhagen's cradle
Gammel Strand used to be the site of a natural harbour, sheltered by a few small islets later to develop into Slotsholmen. It was around this harbour that Copenhagen was founded as a small fishing and trading settlement in the 11th century. However, archeological finds show that the beach at that time was located considerably further inland. The area was marshy and boats were merely pulled up on the beach. Later land reclamations moved the coastline and a proper harbour developed.

Last Friday I ventured down to Trebarwith Strand with Darren, Jim and James for sunset.
I've been here twice now, the last time I went I witnessed one of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen, so I was hoping for more of the same on this visit.
We got there as the tide was coming in, which meant most of the beach was inaccessible. So, I headed to this rock channel which is one of the classic compositions from here, I'm pretty happy with the shot but I think we needed the tide to be a bit higher as it fills this channel with fast flowing water.
There was some nice colour just before sunset, but it was snuffed out by a huge bank of moody cloud so we didn't get the pinks and blues that we were after.

The photo on the gate is by Richard Krawiec, congrats again. And for that shameless plug I expect there'll be a cheque in the post. 😁
