Portrait of local Dan, showing a side of the back streets of Cardiff, something that might not be seen as beautiful but certainly filled with character.
My mom just called me to make sure we weren't on the bridge that just collapsed in Mpls. For the last hour now, it's helicopters and sirens, even though we are several miles from the site. One minute you're driving home from work. The next minute...the bridge is gone from under you.
Will this great work by Faile from 2006 soon disappear by renovation work?

5 months and 77 years (my youngest niece and her grandfather). My dad adores her.
I'm in NJ for Dad's birthday dinner. He turned 77 on Thursday. My present was two tickets to the Blind Boys of Alabama/Preservation Hall Jazz Band concert Morristown. Mom danced on stage, Dad would have if not for his arlthritic hip, so I guess they had a good time. We danced to the CD while cooking dinner tonight.
Had a wonderful time with the family tonight. Had too much fun getting silly with the niecephews. More fun tomorrow as we go hiking in the afternoon.
Messing with the morning light in the North-facing windows trying to get enough contrast to make a B&W photo work. I like the contrast of the texture in the shawl to the texture of my skin. :)
Not really what I was going for. I have another I'll try to process later. My aim, which was off, was to aim straight up, and let the 100* view of the lens take in a lot.
This waterfall is on the side of...gasp...a cliff. So, while my lens isn't a fisheye, straight up would give me the edge of the waterfall. But, I wasn't allowed the time to do a proper 5 exposures here. Ohwell. Enjoy
