T & I went on a trip to Glasgow... and met up with the wonderful slithy-toves, who really was the perfect host, sharing an insider's view of the city with us... from fab food to glorious graveyards, and lots of laughter to accompany both.

We had a blast!

just to see if I could still take a picture without the ttv crutch

Based on the Exactitudes project: Me, Anneliese Hilton and Sean Fagan took multiple trips into Preston Town centre and asked people we spotted in the street to take part in our Fashion Trend based project.

Amazing - we actually had some sun and blue skies today! Of course, the clouds were always lurking, and covered the sun a few times... but it was so gorgeous outside!

2000 yrs old, and still one of the most virtuosic examples of worked stone in existence. This is a straightup tourist shot using existing light in the Vatican Museum.

This is inside the HSBC bank direct opposite of the Cathedrale in Sheffield. I know, I wasn't standing in the middle but there were customers queueing who wanted to go to the cashier...

This is me standing on the tiled star looking straight up into the Capitol Building's rotunda.

Detail of the ceiling of King's College Chapel, Cambridge.

Commissioned by Henry VIII, it is decorated with Tudor roses everywhere.

It's been a long time since I've laughed this much.

I laughed, and laughed and laughed.

As usual, Mr. Izzard was brilliant. He led us on a wonderful, rambling journey covering the history of the world (via Wikipedia) and raptors in trilby hats, the kamikazi sheep of Sparta, and coughing giraffes. My favorite bit was when he described tapestry weavers as the war correspondents of their day ("We're going to need more red thread!").

I need more Eddie Izzard in my life.

Melbourne Central shot tower - A different view

Passing by the Church "Notre-Dame de Pitie et Sainte Elisabeth" at the Rue du Temple (3d arr.) we couldn't resist entering and checking out this 17th century building. Not very special although I liked some of the murals and of course a ceiling like this one...

Long time no photos, eh?

It's continued to be hectic at work and with Christmas right around the corner it seems like I have no time left for the Internets. I have been doggedly keeping up with my SPs though and I'll upload all of them in the next few days.
