T & I went on a trip to Glasgow... and met up with the wonderful slithy-toves, who really was the perfect host, sharing an insider's view of the city with us... from fab food to glorious graveyards, and lots of laughter to accompany both.

It's been a long time since I've laughed this much.
I laughed, and laughed and laughed.
As usual, Mr. Izzard was brilliant. He led us on a wonderful, rambling journey covering the history of the world (via Wikipedia) and raptors in trilby hats, the kamikazi sheep of Sparta, and coughing giraffes. My favorite bit was when he described tapestry weavers as the war correspondents of their day ("We're going to need more red thread!").
I need more Eddie Izzard in my life.
Passing by the Church "Notre-Dame de Pitie et Sainte Elisabeth" at the Rue du Temple (3d arr.) we couldn't resist entering and checking out this 17th century building. Not very special although I liked some of the murals and of course a ceiling like this one...
