Some art installation at the Virgin Terminal at London Heathrow, seen when looking straight up towards the ceiling.
do you really wanna love me forever?
Best thing for a sickie to do on a Friday... stay home from class and watch Pop Up Video :)
Took this while walking to the train. I liked the way the early morning sun was hitting it. Little did I know it would prove to be the perfect image to summarize my day.
Another doozy at the work place. Another emergency project with impossible deadlines. Lots of hurry up and wait. Do and redo thanks to changed minds. Just banging my head against the wall in frustration as I try to bend the laws of physics and get it all done in the time allotted without losing my sanity.
Looking straight up while standing in Pegasus Plaza located at the intersection of Main and Akard Streets.
I took this shot of three redwood trees while at the Grandfather Tree stop, off of Hwy 101 in the redwood national forest in Northern California.
"“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” The Great Gatsby, F Scott Fitzgerald
Saw Baz Lurhmann's excellent The Great Gatsby tonight in 2D at the GFT. Stylish, no doubt gimmicky but so faithful to the spirit of the book, which has long been a huge favourite of mine. Tobey Maguire is perfect as Nick, the hero-worshipping go-between, but the rest of the leads are good too. Fab :)
This is Cedar Point's scariest ride, called the Top Thrill Dragster. And Cedar Point is world renowned for its roller-coasters. This one actually goes straight up, over the loop (the upside-down U), then comes back to earth straight-down.
I'm not overly afraid of roller-coasters usually, but I did not try this one. It's not worth risking a heart attack, or injuring my fragile back.
Revelation 10:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

Discovered this recently and recommend for a nice after dinner drink. Goes well with orange soda, pineapple juice, or root beer.
Walking around the San Diego Zoo, there were lots of cacti everywhere (something I miss seeing in cold, rainy, wet Washington ;) and even some that hung over the walkways. Well, naturally I had to get underneath it, and take a photo for the "from BELOW" group. :)
Thankfully, it was a gorgeous, warm, sunny day. Not like the day before, when we visited Sea World (it was cold and windy there.) I even got to take off my jacket for a while, and be comfortable in a tank top! In December! :)
