Now everything is reflection
As I make my way through this labyrinth
And my sense of direction
Is lost like the sound of my steps...

Never worked out the reason why these steps are angled in the way they are. The angle chosen for descent appears to have been chosen at random and it’s certainly out of the norm.
It’s the steps into the doctors private car park at Newgate Health Centre, Worksop.
A very humid high tide at Scarborough North Beach. A long exposure further flattened the already lifeless sea and the scene had a black and white feel to it.
On Friday evening we had to drop my daughter to Cub Camp, so that gave me an excuse to get out to the beach on the way home. I’ve barely been to north Cornwall this summer so I decided to head to Bedruthan Steps… considering it had been pouring with rain during the afternoon the clouds cleared just nicely in time for sunset!
I had to set my tripod up for this and keep running back and snapping my camera on as the waves were crashing over the top of the steps. I managed to escape without getting wet which is more than can be said for my dog Lilly who got a right soaking
life has not been easy lately... too much to do, always to little time to do everything. I have been abandoning friends, a lot of people turned their backs on me just because I didn't have time for them. But kids always go first, no matter how much I have to do. My husband is amazing lately, really taking a lot on his back and trying to help as much as he can. But I still have so many things not done and that bad luck following me lately...
I just wanted to say friends- I still really really appreciate your comments and read and remember all, just too busy to find those 10 minutes to reply to you all and say THANK YOU!
The only photo I took at Dudmaston House, a National Trust property near where we stayed in Shropshire. It was a rather dull weather day but these steps caught my eye.
HWW!
“Some steps need to be taken alone. It's the only way to really figure out where you need to go and who you need to be.”

I spotted this combination of textures behind the old Manor House, now a museum, at Groot Constantia Wine Estate, Cape Town.
Have a great Tuesday, everyone, textural or otherwise! 😊
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do - Eleanor_Roosevelt
These are the steps inside the new Presque Isle lighthouse that looks out over Lake Huron. It's called new but it was built in 1870 to replace the old one. There are 130 steps to the top.

Climbing to the top of the Upper Rock of Gibraltar along the Mediterranean Steps. [In explore on 25 Jan 2020]
Very occasionally you find yourself in the right place at the right time with the camera. I was traveling back from a family day out and noticed the fog rolling in off the sea by Bedruthan Steps on the North Cornwall Coast. I parked the car in the National Trust car park and legged it towards the cliff edge. There was some wonderful light just as the sun dipped behind the fog - but it only lasted for a few minutes.
