In a small State Park in southern Kentucky, lies this beautiful set of stone steps. After climbing them, you find that they lead to nothing but a lovely wood. At some point in the past they were important, but the purpose is lost. I found a photo of the steps in the lobby of the park and had to discover them for myself and make them my own.

99 Steps located within Franklin Park, Boston MA. Fredrick Law Olmsted designed the park in the late 19th century as part of Boston's 'Emerald Necklace' of urban parks.

Some very slippery steps in Lerwick, leading down to an interesting World War II installation. Needless to say I fell going down them!

This time around I wanted to explore *color* using the mirror lens filter, but instead of objects I opted for color paper arrangements as subjects. This is Post-It page markers.
An angle of the Spanish steps looking toward the spot where Audrey Hepburn sits in Roman Holiday. I tried to get an angle similar to how it is in the film.

My father built these with my brother in law probably 35 years ago! The rest of the paths and the patio have not held up so well, and are currently being re-laid!!
A passage leads to some wonky but solid steps made from slate. In this area of Wales, it seems that slate is everywhere. Wales produced over four-fifths of all British slates and dominated world roofing slate production. In 2021, UNESCO added North West Wales' slate landscape to its World Heritage list.
