AERIAL SHOT - PERMISSIONS GRANTED.
How big is camp 2?
Founded in March 1942, Auschwitz Birkenau Camp 2 overs a staggering 150 hectares, Auschwitz II-Birkenau contained prisoner barracks, gas chambers, 4 crematoria with a daily throughput calculated by Nazi officials at 4,416 corpses, and a complex of 30 warehouses for the personal belongings confiscated from the victims. The number of 'cremated corpses' doesn't take into account the other innocents that were cremated in their masses in the vast pits to the back of the camp.
Were all the POW's Jews?
No, they were not. In addition to Jews, Poles, Gypsies, and Soviet POWs, about 25 thousand prisoners of other nationalities were imprisoned in Auschwitz. Research on the story of these other nationality groups is still in progress, and the statistics about them should therefore be treated as fragmentary, conservative estimates based on a limited number of cases.
Czechs
The most numerous of the other groups were the Czechs. The Czech researcher Marek Polocarz has established that between 10 and 11 thousand Czech political prisoners were deported to Auschwitz between 1941 and 1945, of whom between 8 and 9 thousand were ethnically Czech. The others were Jews, Gypsies, Poles, and Germans who were Czechoslovak citizens before the war. More than half of the Czech political prisoners died in Auschwitz; about 30% of the men and 20% of the women were transferred from Auschwitz to other camps or places of imprisonment. The fate of the remainder remains unknown. A large number of the Czech prisoners were members of the Sokol patriotic organization.
Byelorussians
The next largest group of deportees came from Byelorussia; about 6 thousand men, women, and children were detained during pacification operations directed against partisans in the Minsk and Vitebsk regions. Under an order from Himmler on January 6, 1943, people swept up in such operations were deported to Auschwitz and Lublin (Majdanek) concentration camps. They were entered in the camp records as Russians, but the great majority of them were ethnically Byelorussian. The deportees in these transports also included some ethnic Poles, such as a group of 10 to 20 policemen, and, surely, prisoners of other nationalities.
Germans
There were German prisoners in Auschwitz. Austrians were included in this category, as were some Poles from territory annexed to the Third Reich (sometimes without their being aware of the fact). For this reason, statistics on the German ethnic group do not fully reflect the actual situation and require verification, which is not always possible because of the lack of sources. Among the 38,915 prisoner mug shots (identification photos) in existence, 4,619 of the prisoners are labelled as Germans.
French
Frenchmen and Frenchwomen made up a significant group of prisoners. Over 4,100 French political prisoners were sent to Auschwitz between 1942 and 1944. The first large transport, carrying 1,100 Frenchmen, departed on July 6, 1942, and arrived in Auschwitz on July 8. There were about 70 French Jews in this transport. The men in the transport were assigned numbers 45157 to 46326. Although they were political prisoners, they were made to wear the green triangles used to designate common criminals.
Russians
Russians were a significant group in the camp. 1,579 of the extant prisoner mug shots are labeled as Russian.
Yugoslavians
The next largest group of prisoners comprised citizens of Yugoslavia, above all Slovenians. The extant mug shots include 783 photographs of Slovenian political prisoners (610 women and 173 men), labeled “Pol S,” and 7 Yugoslavians marked “Jug.” The largest transport of Slovenes, consisting of 451 people, arrived from Celje on August 10, 1942.
Ukrainians
Several hundred Ukrainians were imprisoned in Auschwitz. There are 550 camp identification photographs of Ukrainians classed as political prisoners, “asocial,” or, in a few cases, common criminals.
Other nationalities
There were prisoners in Auschwitz from almost every country in Europe, and even some non-Europeans. They included Albanians, Belgians, Danes, Dutch, Greeks, Hungarians, Italians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Luxembourgers, Norwegians, Romanians, Slovaks, Spaniards, and Swiss, with from several to several score of each nationality. There were also a lone Argentinean, a Chinese, a Bulgarian, and an Estonian.
I must also point out that if you were found to be homosexual or were convicted of a crime that warranted punishment in Poland or surrounding countries occupied by Nazi Germany, your fate would likely be here in camp II.

Did anyone ever escape from this hell camp?
When I learned history at school I was always told/taught that no one ever escaped the camps. I later found out that one person escaped of which the unidentified individual was the whistle-blower whom told the world about Auschwitz. This information has turned out to be either lies, propaganda, or misinformation. After some months of research I later found that many POWs were able to successfully escape. It has been established so far that 928 prisoners attempted to escape from the Auschwitz camp complex-878 men and 50 women. The Poles were the most numerous among them-their number reached 439 (with 11 women among them).

Is it true that the Germans destroyed all the gas chambers themselves at both camps?
No its not true. From my own research and due to their own desperation not to die, one of the gas chambers was destroyed by explosives and fire in a revolt. Please ignore what USHMM stated of which is a denial site. USHMM has stated that all the chambers were destroyed by the Nazi's on learning the Red Army were soon to invade. While this is indeed partially true, USHMM states that the NAZI's ordered the detainees to destroy 'all' the camps gas chambers.
There were only 8 thousand POW's remaining by the time the Red Army took control, and they were in no fit state to destroy the camp never mind fight. On October 7, 1944, prisoners assigned to Crematorium IV at the Auschwitz-Birkenau killing center rebel after learning that they were going to be killed.
For months, young Jewish women, like Ester Wajcblum, Ella Gärtner, and Regina Safirsztain, had been smuggling small amounts of gunpowder from the Weichsel-Union-Metallwerke, a munitions factory within the Auschwitz complex, to men and women in the camp’s resistance movement, like Róza Robota, a young Jewish woman who worked in the clothing detail at Birkenau. Under constant guard, the women in the factory took small amounts of the gunpowder, wrapped it in bits of cloth or paper, hid it on their bodies, and then passed it along the smuggling chain. Once she received the gunpowder, Róza Robota then passed it to her co-conspirators in the Sonderkommando, the special squad of prisoners forced to work in the camp’s crematoria. Using this gunpowder, the leaders of the Sonderkommando planned to destroy the gas chambers and crematoria, and launch the uprising.
On October 7, 1944, having learned that the SS was going to liquidate much of the squad, the members of the Sonderkommando at Crematorium IV rose in revolt. The Germans crushed the revolt. Nearly 250 prisoners died during the fighting and guards shot another 200 after the mutiny was suppressed. Several days later, the SS identified five women, four of them Jewish, who had been involved in supplying explosives to blow up a crematorium used to burn the bodies of Nazi murder victims. All five women were killed.
Was Auschwitz-Birkenau II the only place for mass killing?
Unfortunately not, both camps have gross history of Nazi gassing, hanging, beatings, )pseudo medical science often conducted at camp I). Rape, and generalised murder by point blank shooting (firing squad). We shall never know how many more died.
What were the conditions like in both camps?
The reasons for the epidemics and contagious diseases that prevailed in Auschwitz concentration camp included the dreadful living conditions, which varied during the years that the camp operated, and were different in each part of the camp. In Auschwitz I, prisoners lived in old brick barracks. Several hundred three-tier wooden bunk beds were installed in each building. The overcrowding in Auschwitz I forced basements and lofts into use as living quarters, as well.
Two types of barracks, brick and wooden, housed prisoners in Birkenau concentration camp. The brick buildings were erected in great haste, without suitable insulation, on marshy ground. More than 700 people were assigned to each barrack, although in practice the figure was sometimes higher. These barracks lacked any true heating; nor did they contain sanitary facilities.
The second type of accommodation for prisoners at Birkenau consisted of wooden stable-barracks (Pferdestallbaracken). The interiors, designed to hold 52 horses, were partitioned into stalls. The stalls contained three-tier wooden bunks. Several hundred prisoners lived in each such barrack.
Dampness, leaky roofs, and the fouling of straw and straw mattresses by prisoners suffering from diarrhoea made difficult living conditions worse. The barracks swarmed with various sorts of vermin and rats. A constant shortage of water for washing, and the lack of suitable sanitary facilities, aggravated the situation.
Living and sanitary conditions in Auschwitz III (Monowitz) concentration camp and the several dozen branch camps resembled those described above.
Feeding the Prisoners
Prisoners in the camp received meals three times a day: morning, noon, and evening. Factors influencing the nutritional value of the food included the official nutritional norms in the Nazi concentration camps. In practice, Auschwitz prisoners with less physically demanding labor assignments received approximately 1,300 calories per day, while those engaged in hard labor received approximately 1,700. After several weeks on such starvation rations in the camp, most prisoners began to experience organic deterioration that led to the so-called "Muzulman" state, extreme physical exhaustion that ended in death.
Order of the Day
At Auschwitz, as in other concentration camps, the order of the day was strictly established. Prisoners spent over ten hours per day working, and the rest of the time was taken up by long roll-call assemblies, lining up for food rations or a place in the latrines or the washroom, removing dirt and pests from clothing, and disinfection.
I study environmental sciences and history, crime flora and fauna so my intelligence and experience is vast and fanned out. I find it rather odd that racists, fascists aka deniers state the Holocaust never happened. I have found that many countries have banned such behaviour, yet many others have accused the Jews of using the Holocaust to increase sorrow for them in order to take Israel. We're talking about a vast sized piece of land here of which the Nazi's built on, the soil still contains evidence of bone fragments that I have witnessed with my own eyes. People that survived the camp have returned and found the same. There is evidence, not just hair, prosthetics, or bone fragments, but pits that contain ash. You can see it, PH samples of the soil near the crematoria's and outside the camp indicate high 7.35 and 7.45 PH levels and very low 7.0 PH levels which again indicates that diseased people whom suffered with rheumatic conditions were cremated here in their masses. Walking around the camps this week left me with a mixture of feelings. However in order to see the full extent before I leave and write I needed to conduct some aerial shots.
Concluding: If humans are capable of pulling this off in the 1940's involving millions, should we not spread the word, and suppress racism, fascism and hate, humans will do it again.

Care and respect was demonstrated at all times when shooting both from the land and from the air. If only a vast minority of those that steal from the camp, destroy remains, and graffiti on the camps could demonstrate the same? No drone was ever flown over the camp for safety reasons. All shots were conducted outside well away from the camp at the legal limitations specified by the Polish CAA.

I ran into a feminist who refused to publish my comment on her blog item on a UK feminist blog group because she refused to accept it based on it not being evidence. OK, I thought, sounds fair enough, but I probed further and discovered she wasn't a feminist at all, she was a hierarchy climber who loved statistics to the point it blinded her to the values of loving her fellow human beings. She is of the type common in government offices - can give you no end of suggestions but if you don't fit her model you will be excluded.
I also read somewhere that art works best when the distance between art and experience is as short as possible. Well, I have outlined my experience, here is my art :)

A WOMAN IS OFTEN MEASURED by the things she cannot control. She is measured by the way her body curves or doesn’t curve, by where she is flat or straight or round. She is measured by 36-24-26 and inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don’t ever add up to who she is on the inside. And so, if a woman is to be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control, by who she is and who she is trying to become. Because as every woman knows, measurements are only statistics and STATISTICS LIE.
