Yes, the view counts in Flickr's statistics page have been way off target recently. I posted the picture around 9:30 pm Sunday, February 14; at around 5:30 am GMT Monday, February 15, well into a new statistical day. Just comparing the all-time count versus the daily count for the picture, and versus the day's total, shows something is very amiss.

Roberto Luongo (born April 4, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League for the New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, and Vancouver Canucks. In 2022, Luongo was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Luongo is a two-time NHL All-Star (2004 and 2007) and winner of the William M. Jennings Trophy for backstopping his team to the lowest goals against average in the league (2011, with backup Cory Schneider). He was a finalist for several awards, including the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender (2004, 2007, and 2011), the Lester B. Pearson Award as the top player voted by his peers (2004 and 2007), and the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's most valuable player (2007). Luongo is third all-time in games played as an NHL goaltender (1,044) and fourth all-time in wins (489). He employed the butterfly style of goaltending.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Luongo is of Italian and Irish ancestry. Prior to his NHL career, he played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Val-d'Or Foreurs and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, winning back-to-back President's Cups and establishing the league's all-time playoff records for games played and wins. Following his second QMJHL season, Luongo was selected fourth overall by the Islanders in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. After splitting his professional rookie season between the Islanders and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lowell Lock Monsters in 1999–2000, he was traded to the Panthers. In five seasons with Florida, Luongo established team records for games played, wins, and shutouts; despite several strong seasons, however, the Panthers remained a weak team and were unable to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs during Luongo's initial stint with the team. During the 2006 offseason, he was traded to the Canucks after failed contract negotiations with the Panthers.
In his first season in Vancouver, Luongo won 47 games, and was runner-up for both the Hart Memorial Trophy (league MVP) and Vezina Trophy (best goaltender). Following his second year with the Canucks, he became the first NHL goaltender to serve as a team captain since Bill Durnan in the 1947–48 season. Luongo served in that capacity for two seasons before resigning from the position in September 2010. In the subsequent 2010–11 season, he helped the Canucks to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final but lost to the Boston Bruins. During his eight-year tenure with Vancouver, Luongo became the team's all-time leader in wins and shutouts. He returned to the Panthers during the 2013–14 season, where he spent the remainder of his career, qualifying for the playoffs with the Panthers only once during that time. He was the last active goaltender to have played in the NHL in the 1990s. Following his playing career, Luongo joined the Panthers' front office as an executive, ultimately winning back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2024 and 2025 and overseeing the Panthers go to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2023 but lose in five games to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Internationally, Luongo has competed for Team Canada in numerous tournaments. As a junior, he won a silver medal at the 1999 World Junior Championships, while being named Best Goaltender in his second tournament appearance. Luongo won two gold medals at the 2003 and 2004 World Championships and a silver in the 2005 World Championships. He also won the 2004 World Cup championship and appeared in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin as a backup to Martin Brodeur in both instances. He succeeded Brodeur as Canada's starting goaltender during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, winning a gold medal. On January 7, 2014, he was named to the 2014 Canadian Olympic hockey team, where he won his second Olympic gold medal in a largely backup role to Carey Price.
A new poll says 30% of parents have seen at least one worrisome behavior in their children that could be associated with an eating disorder—and they’re blaming it on school-based anti-obesity programs.
Unbelievable! Never before, almost impossible to accomplish something like this again.
Thanks to all who stopped by to take a look.

The contribution of small farms to local food supply, food security and food sovereignty is widely acknowledged at a global level. In the particular case of Europe, they often are seen as an alternative to large and specialised farms. Assessing the real role of small farms has been limited by a lack of information, as small farms are frequently omitted from agricultural censuses and national statistics.

Please feel free to use this infographic on your website with the following description:
Who’s at risk and what puts them at risk? One death in every ten minutes is a result of heart disease, making heart disease the number one cause of morality of both men and women in Australia. Trachea and lung cancer come in second for men, while stoke for women. Lower respiratory disease, colon and rectum cancer and blood and lymph cancer all also top the list. Death may be inevitable; however, some lifestyle choices will affect your quality of life. Regular exercise and following a healthy diet may decrease your chances for becoming a victim, and life insurance will give you a piece of mind just in case you do.

One thing about having a "pro account" again is that it shows you 'stats' of what is being viewed and how they are being viewed.
What it doesn't show you, is why.
Why would views of this post from nine years ago suddenly jump up to where it's my most-viewed post for the day?

I mean, baseball has hardly even started, there's no nudity involved, and doesn't appear to be much in the photo that would cause a lot of people to search it out wa-a-ay back in my photostream.
I have to keep an eye out for pervs "faving" too many photos of Jo Ann or the kids, and my 'block' list is pretty long. But many times it's something like this one, tossing a baseball into the air and catching it.. I just don't get it.
But it *is* a good excuse for looking back at our own photos, and remembering the people we were interacting with back then..
Salamanca is an ancient Celtic city in northwestern Spain that is the capital of the Province of Salamanca in the community of Castile and León. The city lies on several hills by the Tormes River. Its Old City was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. With a metropolitan population of 228,881 in 2012 according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Salamanca is the second most populated urban area in Castile and León, after Valladolid (414,000), and ahead of Leon (187,000) and Burgos (176,000). It is one of the most important university cities in Spain and supplies 16% of Spain's market for the teaching of the Spanish language.[1][2] Salamanca attracts thousands of international students,[3] generating a diverse environment.
It is situated approximately 200 kilometres (120 miles) west of the Spanish capital Madrid and 80 km (50 mi) east of the Portuguese border. The University of Salamanca, which was founded in 1218, is the oldest university in Spain and the fourth oldest western university, but the first to be given its status by the Pope Alexander IV who gave universal validity to its degrees. With its 30,000 students, the university is, together with tourism, a primary source of income in Salamanca.

I’m currently very high right now. High on caffeine! I have a statistics exam in 2 days so I decided to drown myself in 2 large coffees and 1 energy drink today. I’m literally bouncing off the walls. Why did I drink such a high dosage of caffeine? Well, if you know me personally, then you would know that probability calculations aren’t really my groove. If there’s one type of math that I cannot do, it’s probability. It boggles my mind. Those rumours of “Asian kids are superb at math” are totally false, at least in my case. Or maybe I wasn’t born with that awesome Asian gene that would turn me into a human calculator. Shucks. I’m not about to give up though. That exam is going down. Ah, only crazy people like me decide to take 3 full-year courses and finish them in 6 weeks. Talking about crazy people, Vancouver has been rioting ever since the Canucks lost to Boston last night. This reminds me of the G20 riots in Toronto all over again – except it’s about hockey. -confused-
On another note, my phone broke again. I’m really disappointed in the LG Xenon. But it’s time to purchase a smart phone. Will I join the Apple craze and purchase an iPhone? Or will I support RIMM and buy a Blackberry?
I don’t normally take pictures of flowers, but heck, I need to acknowledge my girly side once in a while, lol.
