This infographic explains some pretty interesting statistics about acne in the United States. Nearly 85% of people will experience acne sometime in their lives and will take otc acne pills and vitamins, seek help from a dermatologist, or do nothing about their skin disorder.
This is a mobile version of the Flickr stats. I was one visit short of 10,000 for today. Thursday I broke 10,000. Still a good day overall thank you for all those that came and visited please come back again.
"Approximately 94 percent of all recorded injuries were caused by the new Minie ball. Seven out of ten injured soldiers were wounded in the arm or leg; two out of ten in the body; and one out of ten in the head or neck."
The statistics quoted above only apply to those who survived their wounding long enough to make it to the hospital for care. Most of those who where shot in the head, chest or abdomen did not live long enough for their wounds to be recorded. In addition, artillery wounds were also more likely to result in fatalities than Minie Ball wounds, thus accounting for the low percentage of injuries recorded from something other than Minie balls.

Joseph Filmore Frazier (b: October 6, 1922 – d: February 15, 2011 at age 88) was an outfielder and manager in MLB. He was signed as an amateur free agent in 1941, but did not play in the major leagues until 1947. After 1947, he spent parts of three seasons in the 1950s, primarily with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1956, at the age of 33, he finished his playing career after having played in 217 games.
Following a successful 1975 season, Frazier was promoted to manager of the parent Mets on October 3, 1975 replacing interim manager Roy McMillan. Frazier managed the Mets to an 86–76 record in 1976, good for a third place finish. The club got off to a 15–30 in 1977, however, and Frazier was replaced as Mets manager by Joe Torre, who was an active player on the Mets roster at the time.
Career statistics:
Batting average - .241
Home runs - 10
RBI - 45
As manager:
New York Mets (1976–1977)
In order to gauge real use of Mobi we need to look at how activity in each section, including the home page, relates the the total page views of the system. Because the WiFi login home page is the WVU home page when a user signs into the WiFi network from their iPod Touch they visit Mobi automatically. They may leave the service immediately but they’ll count as a page view. If a user visits a section then they’ve had two visits, home and the section. So we know the system is really being used if the percentage of home page visits is 50% or less*.
It’s encouraging to see, as time went on with the snowstorm, that the home page usage dipped below the 50% mark. It actually reached a low of 34% on February 8. Emergency was one fifth of all the activity for Mobi on February 10.
I do find it interesting that News starts to tail off starting on the 9th. Not sure if people felt Emergency provided a better source of information or what.
* - This isn’t completely accurate as a user can hit the back button and visit the home page again before leaving but it’s probably a fairly accurate metric.
