Governor Deval Patrick, Lt. Governor Murray, and other speakers addressed a gathering for a ceremony in Gardner Auditorium proclaiming March 3rd White Ribbon Day in Massachusetts and then viewed the unfurling of a banner featuring the MA White Ribbon Day Pledge: “From this day forward, I promise to be part of the solution in ending violence against women.” in front of the State House. As far as Jane Doe Inc. has been able to determine, this is the first time that such a banner has been displayed from any State House in the country.
The organizers of the event presented the statistics that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually assaulted by the time they turn 18; 1 in 3 women in the world has been beaten, sexually coerced or otherwise abused; and 1 in 12 women and 1 in 45 men will be stalked in their lifetime. The MA White Ribbon Day Campaign called upon men in Massachusetts to "man up" and be part of the solution in ending violence against women.

There are approximately 75,000 - 82,000 (ish) Licenced | Registered motorcycles, scooters and tricycles in Hong Kong, it never really changes much and dealers keep large stocks of popular models for immediate delivery due to heavy demand - The Transport Department classifies motorcycles and scooters as the same type of vehicle, personally I prefer the term motorbikes rather than motorcycles .....and yes, Hong Konger‛s love fast bikes.
There is nothing at all unusual about the popularity of motorcycles in Hong Kong, big powerful bikes are a lot more popular than the entry level 125cc and 250cc bikes simply because here you can get a motorcycle from all the major brands that do 190mph + and 0 - 60mph in 2.8 seconds, fast enough to outperform most supercars and even hypercars in Hong Kong and at a fraction of the price of a typical supercar, it is an easy sale. Scooters, well they are popular for food delivery companies!

I have been playing the open-source liason in lab for a while now and today I actually managed to save a big chunk of cash and help out a labmate. He's been doing Michaelis-Menten kinetics analysis by gathering data, emailing it to someone with a copy of Origin, a commercial data analysis package, and then eventually getting fitted values for Vmax, k, and n. Today he gave me some sample data and I got him set up with the R commands to calculate fitted curves and plot them against experimental data. Win!

"I Love Statistics"
Charts, graphs, statistics....love them. These are reports showing how each category on the new menu sold in the first week. I will run new reports each week, and we will determine items that are not selling well, and replace them with new items.
Everything on the new menu sold very well as a weekly special, but when they are all together on a menu, there are winners and losers. I plan to keep track of what is selling for about a month or more, and then we will look at altering the menu items. The plan is that the menu will be an ongoing project, organic, if you will. Instead of a massive drawn out process, it will change whenever we need it to.
