Artist Statement:
July of this year, I planned to photograph the Navajo Nation located in the Northeast corner of Arizona and visit my sisters who I hadn’t seen in 5 years. I was welcomed not only by family, but by an immense monsoon. The temperature would drop from 112° down to about 70°. Due to the recent quarantine, most of my shots were outdoors, in the beautiful and varied terrain of this land. One day, I stood in the middle of the street, having the rainfall on me and watching the amazing show of the lightning and thunder. It was quite an experience; in that moment, all my senses were heightened. The scent of the brush and the soil and the aroma of the barn wood was enchanting. For the first time in a long time, I felt completely human and that I was so fortunate to be here on earth. Towards the end of my time in Arizona, I visited the Indian Wells Navajo Nation and got to meet beautiful people such as 5 generations within one family. I feel extremely fortunate to not only have captured this but for the entire experience. I felt the earth was telling me, “This is who I am, and this is who you are”.

A wall with some political statements in the little village called Doel. This village will be fully wiped away to make place for a large industrial sea harbour. The local folks have been raising there voices but with no luck so far.
The portret on the right is the Flemisch Prime minister Mr Peeters (CD&V) and the one on the left the socialist (SPA) Mayer of Antwerp Mr Janssens.
The Cuban Trogon (or more commonly Tocororo) is a really pretty bird, and its tail feathers are especially impressive.

"Nein, nein ihr seid nicht mein kommunismus" – das war das beste und eindeutigestes Statement zu diesem skurrilen Aufmarsch von ca. 250 ewig gestrigen nationalkommunist_innen bei der neu aufgelegten 13 Uhr-Demo in Berlin-Neukölln. Die Organisator_innen dieser Veranstaltung sind im kommunistischen Kontext bei Stalin und Mao hängen geblieben. Die Gruppe Jugendwiderstand hat offensichtlich diese Veranstaltung organisiert und ist dementsprechend für die gesamte Choreographie verantwortlich, inklusive der grottenschlechten Rapper_innen. Bedauerlich ist es das einige junge Menschen bei diesem Politikkonzept mitmachen.
