Another of my periodic pans of the layout room. I like to look back and see if any progress is detectable from shot to shot.

Chuba Hubbard ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and No. 25 Oklahoma State rolled past the Jayhawks 31-13 on Saturday.

The Empire State building from the "Top of the Rock". I went up to the Rockerfeller Centre lookout for one of the best views of New York. I also shot some tilt-shift stuff of the city below. Looking up though, the view was just as great.

This was the second trip I took to western Mass with Christian and Nick to explore an old abandoned mental hospital in Belchertown, Massachusetts. Originally a school for the "feeble minded", Belchertown turned into more of a mental hospital and was shut down in 1992 for mistreatment of their patients. It's been described as a living hell. The buildings are all sealed up and the place has been closed and untouched for the past 20 years. Many urban explorers have found a way in and that's what we did as well. This is the auditorium - well lit from the collapsed ceiling and just hauntingly beautiful.

Everyone had a red, white and blue blast at Rye's 2nd Annual Memorial Day parade organized by the American Legion Post 128. Our JHC Preservationists and their children woke up super early, (eating their pancakes and strawberries very fast according to one excited 4 year old passenger in the carriage.) We lined up at 8:45 at the train station together with other groups in the parade like the Rye Fire Department, the Rye Boys Scouts, Rye Chamber of Commerce and the Rye Police. Robin Latimer once more gave us all our marching (and clip clopping) orders and we headed down Purchase Street.

Notable newcomers to the parade included the red Wells Fargo Wagon, a drum corps, a calliope from Harrison Paint and an antique fire engine from the Larchmont Historical Society. Onlookers and grandparents beamed from the sidewalks. Residents opened their windows and waved from up above. The parade concluded at the Village Green where bright white chairs awaited us for the Memorial Day ceremony and a proper remembrance of veterans who have served us so selflessly.
