I knew this amazing Stanza was parked here thanks to the spots of Wesley Huisman and Peter Olthof.

With the famous fourth stanza from Laurence Binyon’s poem For the Fallen displayed on the bodyside, power car 43172 Harry Patch is seen here approaching Hawkeridge Junction with the 1C77 09:27 London Paddington to Plymouth service. Coaching set LA74 and power car 43193 complete the consist. The train was diverted via Swindon because of engineering work taking place on the direct route via Newbury. Once a taken-for-granted sight on mainline services through Wiltshire, these trains have now been replaced by bi-mode class 800 and 802 units and now operate class 2 stopping services on the Cardiff to Penzance route as 2+4 Castle sets. 43172 is still in service albeit now in standard GWR green livery and no longer named Harry Patch.

Il vecchio ed abbandonato manicomio di Pesaro riserva emozionanti visioni.....

It really was a rousing moment to have seen this car. A Stanza! This spot will have to be my best find this year so far.

I was told about this car by another spotter.

Same owner since 2006, I don't think the owner is taking it seriously, knowing how rare it is. This is currently the only one left on the roads for this model, 'Jubilee'.

Sadly it looks worse for wear now, after I had a look at other spotter's pictures on Flickr just a few years ago of it, it looked in great nick.

The good main thing is that it has survived to this day. A Stanza in this shape is a dinosaur sight, even in the opposite condition, enthusiast owned examples are incredibly rare, with just 1 left for all the other remaining specs on the roads.

When I had a walk around the car I thought it's laid up, because of its condition and slightly uninflated tyres, however Its still on the road and with no surprise it only does 10-30 miles a year! And still sitting on just 68k.

Japan Classic Sunday 2022

Gemert, the Netherlands.

This car has been scrapped after June 2015. So I was right on time recording this 80s car, which has become rare in our streets nowadays.

Posting last year finds I noticed that a lot of 80s cars have been scrapped meanwhile. This category of cars form a very vulnerable group of cars: to old to compete with current cars, to young to be considered as classic cars. Therefore they suffer by the lack of protection they deserve. They're depending on the goodness of the individual car enthusiast.

This Prairie M10-Series was introduced in Japan in 1981 and in Europe one year later. It was one of the very first compact MPV's. Naganori Ito was the designer.

In the US it was called Stanza Wagon.

Note the attractive sliding door, which is on both sides.

My 7000th photo!

I thought this Stanza was apt as it was a real highlight. I spotted it in Suur, where 99% of the old cars were Mercedes W123s so it was nice to see this battered old Stanza. Outside of Beirut these aren't actually that difficult to spot but I had pretty bad luck photographing them, this is the only one I managed to get

Stanza abbandonata in Italia

Tutto questo c'è nella mia stanza,

giuro, non lo so se è poco o molto,

so che non sapevo mai starci senza

e mi vien da ridere se mi volto:

se ti va puoi entrarci,

se no pace!

vedi di giocartela a testa o croce,

ma con la tua voce.

In this panorama stitched image inside the Room of the Segnatura, most of the ceiling and the top half of the 'Disputation of the Most Holy Sacrament' is visible.

On the ceiling of the room are four medallions with female figures who represent four aspects of the Human Spirit:- Theology, Poetry, Philosophy and Justice. Each is are connected with the scene on the frescoes below.

In the centre of the ceiling is the papal crest, held up by cherubs.

The room takes its name from the highest court of the ecclesiastical tribunal, the 'Signatura Gratiae' which met in this room during the mid-16th century. The frescoes in the Raphael Rooms, together with those by Michelangelo on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel marked the High Renaissance in Rome.

il cielo in una....stanza....

e non è un magia di fotoshop.....

So this is my car, it's a 92 Nissan Stanza. Bought it for $200 pretty good deal if I say so. The paint on the side came with it when I bought it.

I don't think I got a shot of the rear end, so now way of knowing the registration on this one unless I catch a glimpse in another photo. The 3-door model wasn't particularly common here.

The Mazda 818 will appear in a photo of its own.

The rusty BMW TLH 41M was a 1973 2500 which made it to 1987.

Solara looks to have been a W- or X-reg.

Some other older things to be seen, including something I can't immediately identify behind the Stanza - maybe a Rootesmobile of some sort?

Previous low-res scan and comments below.

A real surprise to see a Stanza, and one looking as smart as this too. I think this rear angle really highlights the similarities between this and the T12 Bluebird which followed, those vents are very distinctive.

Thy Thrumming SeaWall.

Indomitable waves tramblyng on thy stanza of thee ill-match'd wall,

storm'd feast 'tis a disaster in wake,

pillars of depths stronger than thy pins of man,

curling enormous columns rain ov'r varnish'd all,

melodies dive under thee radiance of entanglements endure,

blustering farewell O'whither'd wall 'tis a pitying brink,

trammell'd lost, waityng for thee new dawn,

a new breathless sea wall shalle rise to new heights o'er foam'd squalls of brawn.

In this Old Testament story, God commands Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice.

At the last moment, when Isaac is on the sacrificial altar, a messenger from God stops Abraham, saying "Now I know you fear God." An Angel provides a lamb to sacrifice instead.

Raphael had replaced the previous ceiling paintings with four stories from the Old Testament: Noah Leaving the Ark, The Sacrifice of Isaac, Moses before the Burning Bush, and Jacob's Dream (of a ladder/staircase to heaven).

Stanza di Eliodoro, Musei Vaticani; July 2019

Okay, this might be my favourite spot that I get this year, I really do not know how a Stanza in less than perfect condition (bit of an understatement) can survive 30 years on the road, there was so much overspray that it was actually quite difficult to guess what the original colour was. Those rear lights are just awesome too, as are the alloy wheels. Tax doesn't expire for a few months, but we can be hopeful that it stays on the road...
