Hi !
This is not a new photo, but an old one I didn't retouched. I would like to try it, in order to know if I could sublime her.
With this new color, she is a like like a dream, stronger, more dramatic, cold and warm at the same time. I like it !

I somehow doubt this will ever move again. This was such a bizzare sight, and it wasnt the only car there. I doubt I will ever see anything as rare as this ever again...
Apparently there is barely any Stanzas left, hatchbacks and saloons total somewhere in the low double figures. I think road tests of them at the time of their release were pretty critical and it never took off as well as the Sunny/Cherry and later Bluebird models.
As rusty as this one may be, its certainly not as bad as 14 years could be....
Included in Raphael's depiction of the scene in Heaven are a pantheon of Saints, Patriarchs and Prophet. This is a closer look at some of the figures on the right:- St Stephen, Moses, and St James the Elder. The two partially visible figures are Judas Maccabaeus and Abraham.
St Stephen is traditionally recognized as the first Christian martyr. St James the Elder (or "St James the Great") was the older of the two Apostles named James. The Prophet Moses is depicted with the Ten Commandments, and hornlike rays coming from his head.
This was the very first fresco painted by Raphael in the Vatican; when he was 25 - 27 years old.

... a glimpse of visitors and the room.
The Room of Heliodorus is one of four rooms (the Stanze di Raffaello) that Pope Julius II commissioned for redecoration by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, commonly known as Raphael. The room takes its name from the dramatic fresco 'The Expulsion of Heliodorus from the Temple'. It was painted around 1511-1514.
The overall theme of the room is the protection to both the faith and physical welfare given by God to Humanity and the Church. The four main frescoes reflect this at different times in history: the Expulsion of Heliodorus from the Temple, the Liberation of St. Peter, the Encounter of Leo the Great with Attila, and the Mass of Bolsena.
On the ceiling vault designed by Raphael and painted by Guillaume de Marcillat are four scenes from the Old Testament.
The frescoes in the room look to be in magnificent condition, vibrant and colourful despite being nearly 500 years old.

Not a terrible shot nor a great one but pictures or it didn't happen, right?
Anyway I really like this gen of the Stanza mostly for the taillights. It was driven by an older woman and the car looked in great shape except for a few minor scratches. How much longer it'll be with her for who knows. Once it passes on who knows how long it'll last then.
I Don't believe it a Stanza!! Surrey Classics gave me the location of this (thank you). I would love to save this! I think a banger racer owns this. On steetview there was a Volkswagen LT van in this Stanzas place. This one definitely looks saveable. I wonder what the underneath is like? A Nissan Stanza is even rarer than a Datsun Stanza.

Stanza Dei Sogni e Degli Angeli Messaggeri.
Room of Dreams and Messenger Angels.
It was Alessandro Farnese's bedroom in the Palazzo di Caprarola, his nocturnal refuge among the illustrated frescoes that evoke the link with the celestial forces through the messenger angels in continuous contact with earthly uncertainties.
And it was precisely because of the awareness of these uncertainties that Alexander dreamed of serenity and prosperity, but he also dreamed of protecting the family heritage built over five centuries of service to the Church. Moreover, he no longer had the reference figures of his family, his father was killed in Piacenza in 1547 and his grandfather Paolo III died two years later.
Hence, in the Room of Dreams there is an allusion to the request for a blessing on the family represented in the oval. The image borrows a scene from the Old Testament in which God sends messenger angels to reassure Jacob that he will watch over him and that the lands on which he lies will remain with his family and descendants.
In the Room of Dreams, biblical facts are narrated in which hermetic messages are read, such as the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, depicted in a lunette of the vault. The king dreams of a large and mighty statue with a golden head, bust and limbs of different metals but feet of clay determining its fragility. Probably the dream is a not too hidden desire of card. Alessandro Farnese, who understands the precarious balance of the duchy of Castro and that of Parma and Piacenza, and alludes to the benevolence of God, in whose name he was elected cardinal.

... in the Room of the Fire in the Borgo.
This was the last of the four Raphael rooms (Stanze di Raffaello) visited.
The four wall frescoes in this room perhaps reflect the temporal aspirations of Pope Leo X as ruler of the Papal States. All four scenes depict events in the lives of two prior Popes who had used the name 'Leo'. Pope Leo IV is depicted in the "Battle of Ostia" and the "Fire in the Borgo". Pope Leo III is in the "Crowning of Charlemagne" and the "Justification of Leo III". Pope Leo X's features have been used for the pontiff in all four frescoes.
The fresco here is "The Battle of Ostia", and is believed to have been painted by by the workshop of Raphael. It depicts the scene after the battle in 849 near Rome between the Saracen Arabs and a Christian League of Papal and Italian ships.
On the ceiling are four round medallions with various depictions of the Holy Trinity (starting from bottom, and then anti-clockwise):- 'God the Creator with Angels and Cherubs', 'Christ between Mercy and Justice', 'The Holy Trinity', and 'Christ as Sol Iustitiae and Christ Tempted by the Devil'.
The ceiling was commissioned in 1508, and theme was chosen because the Vatican's highest court, the "Segnatura Gratiae et Iustitiae" was meeting here at the time. They are the work of Pietro Vannucci (known as Perugino)
Raphael had been an apprentice in the workshop of Perugino. When he was commissioned by Pope Leo X to redecorate the room, he did not alter the work of his former master on the ceiling.

Showcasing the variants in Stanza, these shots show some interesting specifications.
Stanza styling quirks include the rear air circulation vents and thick rubber strips around the headlights. Both of which were carried over to the Bluebird. The chintzy red interior sadly, was not! Nor the sporting alloys of the above three door.

I left Barstow at 7:45am. The radio was on in the office when I stopped in to try to get an internet connection. The current temperature was 84F, and the highs were to be 108F. Good thing I was getting out early. Perhaps I’d be through the Mojave, and climbing the mountains before the sweltering desert fully awakened. Indeed.
The temperature remained quite mild and comfy until I reached Lone Pine and it’s claim to fame, Mt. Whitney, who towers nearly 15,000 feet. As I climbed into the High Sierras, the chill became invigorating. I was met at my final Pre-Yosemite gas stop with a gully-washer thunderstorm, and followed me into the park for several miles before giving up and moving on east.
Turns out that a motorcycle is only half a car, - I only pay half the entrance fees at National Parks. It is fruitless to flirt with the rangers to try and get in even cheaper, especially the female ones. Female park rangers are above that. They’re in their mid-20s to early 30s and are strong willed and sure. Male rangers, on the other hand, are in their late 50s and very susceptible to kindness.
