Saint Mary's standout Logan Johnson began his college career at Cincinnati, playing for Mick Cronin.
Now, Johnson is shooting to end his former coach's season when the fifth-seeded Gaels (26-7) square off against Cronin's UCLA squad on Saturday night in the second round of the East Regional at Portland, Ore.
UCLA is a 3.0-point favorite at PointsBet, where the Bruins have been backed by 74 percent of the spread-line money while St. Mary's has drawn 57 percent of the total bets. The Gaels are the popular moneyline bet, with 81 percent of the bets and 94 percent of the money at +130.
Johnson stood out with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists as Saint Mary's hammered 12th-seeded Indiana 82-53 in Thursday's opening round.
The fourth-seeded Bruins (26-7) needed a game-ending 15-4 surge to escape with a 57-53 win over 13th-seeded Akron.
Johnson played his freshman campaign for the Bearcats, and then Cronin departed for UCLA following the 2018-19 season. Johnson, who is from the San Francisco Bay Area, decided to transfer closer to home and chose the Moraga-based Gaels.
"It would be a cool experience, I think," Johnson said of playing against Cronin. "I've been at Saint Mary's for three years now, so everything's different. I've enjoyed the whole process of getting better offensively and helping my offensive game grow."

This collection includes a unique and playful piece of art titled *Warhol Overhaul*, a limited edition print numbered 106 out of 500. The artwork is a creative reinterpretation of Andy Warhol’s iconic style, prominently featuring the *Fox Kids Network* logo. The signature Warhol-like repetition and vibrant color scheme give the piece a nostalgic nod to 90s pop culture. This artwork is framed in an ornate gold frame, labeled *Musée du Renard Des Enfants*, which translates to *The Fox Museum for Children*. The whimsical framing perfectly complements the playful nature of the artwork, creating an intriguing crossover between fine art and childhood nostalgia.
This print is part of an exclusive collection, with only 500 sets produced. Each set included just one picture frame, but contained 14 different prints, each featuring Fox Kids characters reimagined in 14 distinct classical art styles. These limited-edition artworks were crafted by various production artists as a tribute to Fox Kids' beloved Saturday morning cartoons from the 1990s.
One standout piece from this collection is titled *American Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask*, created by Dave McMacken in 1995. This piece is a clever reinterpretation of Grant Wood's famous painting *American Gothic*, with the Haunted Mask transforming the reserved farmer into a snarling monster. Lithograph posters of this painting, published in an edition size of 500, were mailed to Fox affiliates around the country as part of a marketing campaign, complete with a mock *Floyd's of Fullerton* insurance policy from the *Musée du Renard des Enfants* (French for "Fox Kids Museum"). Years later, McMacken sold modified prints of the piece at his Astoria, Oregon studio/store, Ratz & Company.
Another notable print is the *Taz-Mania* piece, titled *Doomed Bison - Tazcauh Cave, France 7/10/95*. This lithograph was part of the Fox Kids Style Guide, where different shows were depicted in the styles of famous paintings. This print reimagines *Taz-Mania* in the prehistoric cave painting style, a humorous and clever twist on the beloved character.
The *Bobby’s World* print, titled *Blue Bobby 7/10/95*, is also part of the Fox Kids Style Guide. Like the other pieces, this lithograph portrayed *Bobby’s World* in a style reminiscent of famous paintings, adding to the diversity of art styles represented in the collection.
The *Marvel Spider-Man Animated Series* print, titled *Web of Despair 7/10/95*, is another piece from the Fox Kids Style Guide. This lithograph features Spider-Man in a style inspired by classical paintings, further showcasing the versatility of the artists involved in this collection.
The *Marvel X-Men Animated Series* print, titled *Dutch Mutants 7/10/95*, also comes from the Fox Kids Style Guide. It reimagines the X-Men characters in a style influenced by classical Dutch painting, adding another unique artistic approach to the collection.
The *Batman* print, created as part of the 1995 Fox Kids Network marketing campaign, is based on Georges Seurat’s famous painting *A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte*. In this version, Batman and other characters from the animated series replace the original subjects, making it a creative fusion of classic art and animated characters.
The *Tick* print, also from the 1990s *The Tick* animated series, was based on a masterpiece by Henri Matisse. Part of the same 1995 Fox Kids Network marketing campaign, this print reimagined The Tick in the distinctive style of Matisse, showcasing a bold and artistic interpretation of the character.
The *Kamen Rider/Masked Rider* print, titled *Masked Remington*, is another standout from the collection. This print was part of the same 1995 marketing campaign, where Kamen Rider was reimagined in the style of a classic Remington painting.
The *Carmen Sandiego* print, titled *Carmen on a Half Shell*, was also part of the 1995 Fox Kids Network marketing campaign. It reimagined the *Carmen Sandiego* character in a style inspired by classical art, adding a unique and memorable twist to the collection.
The *Life with Louie* print, titled *The Rain of Louie*, is another example from this collection, reimagining the *Life with Louie* character in the style of a classical painting.
Other notable prints in the collection, including *Warhol Overhaul*, are captured in this picture, showcasing how the various Fox Kids characters were reimagined in different classical art styles. The blending of pop culture with classical artistry in these prints creates a nostalgic and visually engaging tribute to 1990s Saturday morning cartoons.
This set of Fox Kids Network lithographs was even featured on *Antiques Roadshow*, further cementing its value and historical significance as a collectible from this iconic era. The unique collaboration of 14 artists, who each reimagined famous paintings with Fox Kids characters, makes this collection truly one-of-a-kind.
Each print in this limited-edition set features a unique style, further adding to the rich variety and collectability of these pieces. These styles could range from impressionism to cubism, bringing the cartoon characters to life in a whole new way.
Although not all of the prints are owned, the rich history and craftsmanship behind the collection is deeply appreciated. The title *Musée du Renard des Enfants*, or *Fox Kids Museum*, reflects the idea that these shows, all part of the 1990s Fox Kids programming, have been immortalized in a collection that blends art and animation in a fun, nostalgic tribute to childhood.
