Our Daily Challenge ... what's on my mind.

I have been thinking of all the spring chores I need to do to get my garden back in shape for summer, as well as the spring clean I need to do inside. The jobs seem never ending ... but still, I procrastinate ... taking photos is more enjoyable!

I didn't get as much done as I should have, but I did do some planting today and tomorrow it's wardrobe sorting day ... time to put all those winter things away for a while and find some summer things which hopefully will still fit!

the paper studio with its equipment, raw material, gathered papers is filling up, too fast... spring cleaning was needed, and we organized our 'pitot' = 'fiber loafs' in a better and visible way: above Japanese Mulberry/Kozo, below Jeans cotton -- they have been prepared at least 15 years back and can be used any time needed: first step is soaking them in water over night, and then 're-opening' their fibers in the hollander=pulp making machine... handmade paper from plants or natural textiles needed, anybody?! :)

I had a different image already selected for this week, but this one is so much more appropriate considering all the changes going on in my life right now.

From space toilet (left) to urine processor (right). From potty tofaucet!

About 95% of urine is water. Why not recycling in space? In the International Space Station, water is evaporated from urine, condensed, and filtered to make potable water. Yes you technically drink your and your colleagues urine!

Recycling water in space is more cost effective than bringing it from Earth

I saw this fluff floating through the air, and noticed this fellow hard at work getting ready for the family.

In the midst of spring cleaning my wee studio, making space for my spiffy new dresser by relocating a few other pieces of furniture... But now my wee sanctuary looks like a 'craft bomb' has exploded in there........

It was like every year duty when comes to prepare before the festival celebration. Though I definitely will be celebrating back in my home country, still, in Chinese tradition they believe before the Chinese New Year, having the spring cleaning within the house is to let the unwanted stuffs go away, start with a fresh one just like restart your server with a clean state. (If I've to put it in technical term)

Since early January, wifey been start doing the spring cleaning in weekly basis. It is rather good to partial into different weekends, that would not be so exhausting. So this weekend, it is more like my turn to take initiative start off with my room first. Woke up at 8am and keep doing until in the afternoon.

Now nearly 90% to completion, less than 2 weeks will be celebrating Lunar New Year, family members can be reunited again in the special festival. I am so looking forward to that, where I can visit my parents, relatives and friends.

This is kinda rewards to my own where we bought this flower and put in the glass vase and move the vase to the other spot. It quite eye catchy when I sit down on the couch, so quickly dig out my humble D3s with 50mm f /1.4 lens and looking for a great perspective to compose.

Sliders Sunday (Spring Cleaning!) Texture: Topaz-City Soot!

366:The 2016 Edition. #87

Well here I am all decked out in my "Spring Cleaning" attire. The shed needed a good cleaning. I used my leaf blower to clean out the debris and believe me it made a huge dust cloud! Here in the southwestern US you really have to be careful when you clean up! The Hantavirus is something that you can contract from dried mouse poop and urine, nasty!!! So....this is what you need to do. Wear protective goggles and a very good mask. The mask I'm using is excellent and did the job!

I did this macro with the 28mm 1:3,5 Minolta and my new reverse ring on my Panasonic Lumix G1.
