Bees Spring cleaning - Elvir and a LF frame (smaller than a DB frame).
In late April, attending to the Beehives to check the cleanliness and see if the bees have enough wax to lay brood (new eggs for new workers).......
Some hives are performing so well they have quickly run out of space and present a chance for swarming - so to avoid that happening (its ok but only under controlled circumstances) we add a top box with new wax frames.

This photo shoot came from a friend of ours talking about looking forward to doing some "spring cleaning." When I went looking for the springs, I also found this celebrity who wanted to participate. Oh nooooooo!
Sunday. Did some serious spring-cleaning in our bathroom yesterday afternoon. I think I was temporarily possessed by the spirit of my mother, as I was scrubbing not just the tub and toilet, but the walls, baseboards, toilet brush holder, doors, etc. :) I went a little nuts! But now it's so shiny and clean and I'm just so proud of my work!
Time to move the snow, clear the gutters, and allow the runoff to drain away.

My vintage apartment has built in cabinets and drawers. My sink is made of cast iron and is on table legs. I don't have a dishwasher so a dish rack is a necessity. I keep cleaning supplies under the sink. I used to have a skirt that covered up this area but a) the underside of the sink is made of something that my velcro doesn't stick too to well b) the skirt got dirty and also got bleached when I cleaned the sink. Still a basket or something might look a little nicer here.

This one was shot this afternoon. A sure sign of spring to me is more playtime outside with the kids. It must have been 15 degrees outside, so a barely dressed Julius decided to help mother nature getting rid of the remains of king winter.

I found a box behind a screen in my bedroom. Guess what was in it? Buffy and X-File episodes on VHS! PARTY AT MY HOUSE!! I threw the box away. WHAT do I do with VHS tapes? Do you throw them away? I can watch each one of these episodes on DVD...but do they have great l90's early 2000 commericals? NO! Seriously..what do I do with these?
