Chiffchaff taking food to it's nest

a *long work Thursday* so this is another from Keston Ponds on Tuesday - A rufous?

Pictured at Kilchoan, Ardmurchan last Spring are the baby blue tits in the gatepost that we passed everyday coming and going from our holiday cottage. We also saw otters, golden eagles, red deer and whales from just outside the door next to the Sound of Mull

My favourite spot during lockdown

Hummingbird Hawk Moth

Common frog sits in a Garden pond surrounded by various water plants.

Two birds engaged in a chase, perhaps the lower one (woodpigeon) avoided the predator by creating a stunning diversion !

Always best to take your camera when you have to go shopping to Iceland.....only a five minute diversion down to the river but so worth it

Bearded tit or Panurus Biarmicus.

Lives mainly in areas with dense reedbeds. Main areas they are found in the UK are East Anglia, Lancashire and Yokshire, and an isolated colony in Eastern Scotland. Females only have the black marks around their eyes unlike the males whose markings look like a moustache.

so, what are you doing out in the afternoon??

no baiting in...

no fancy hide...

just next to the car!

.where I started all of this - by my pond
